Once a part comes out of the mould, it heads straight to our machine shop. 👍 Our Hwacheon 8700 lathe, with full CNC capability and driven tooling, can then turn raw castings into finished, ready-to-use parts, whether that's a single prototype or a full production run. #CNC

They might look like simple shapes, but they play a big part in the finished casting. Cores are used to create the internal holes, cavities & passages that you can’t make with the mould alone. Getting them right is key, so each one is made to the exact shape & dimensions needed.

Using CAD, our design team can turn ideas, drawings and existing components into detailed 3D models ready for #casting. From developing new designs to reverse engineering existing components, CAD is an important part of what we do before a pattern ever reaches the foundry floor.

Cores create the passages, cavities & internal features that the mould can’t form on its own, helping achieve shapes & dimensions. With cold box & furnace core-making facilities, plus metal, resin & wooden core boxes, we can produce cores for one-offs or series production.

Our inspection team checks the details that matter, from dimensions and material properties through to the overall integrity of the #casting. And when something doesn’t look quite right, we dig deeper with metallurgical analysis and root cause analysis, alongside 8D reporting.
