My team went into Sunday as the 5th seed having gone 2-2 in Pool Play that didn’t stop us tho. 4 games later, playing the Semifinal against the #1 seed, and the #2 seed in the 3 HOUR championship we came out with an incredible win against 2 18u teams! RT @DoublePlay03: We had two opposing coaches tell us during/after our games this weekend at @FirecrackerSB that our @NeCanesSoftball crew is the most amazing and fundamentally sound/skilled defensive teams they’ve seen in 20+ years of coaching!!! For all the years, long hours, and effort we have put into developing skilled defenders, it was nice for our players to hear that said to us during two handshake lines. There were so many diving plays, double plays, OF darts to throw runners out, and high IQ defensive plays that I didn’t have time to create a highlight video. But I’ll share these two ridiculously athletic double plays made by @leahlapham2026 today! 🤯 URI Softball @RhodySoftball is getting a super athletic kid next year with a ceiling of potential to become a very exciting player on both sides of the ball.
