THE FIRST SNOW OF THE TRIP!!!❄️❄️❄️

We are in Sante Fe, NM. Never thought we’d find a city like this in America. It reminds me a bit of Morocco with all the beautiful architecture and narrow streets. Such a beautiful town! But you can definitely feel the 7,000 feet of elevation. The air is pretty thin up here.

On to the next adventure. Wherever that may be. 🇺🇸

Alright that’s it for us in Albuquerque! I feel like I say this every time we leave a place but once again we met so many incredible people here. Today we also tried some New Mexican food at The Frontier which pretty much everyone we met recommended to us. It was really good! We also checked out the UNM campus and today was the first day where it actually felt like fall. The wind, the cooler weather and the trees losing their leaves. With the mountains in the background Albuquerque really is a cool city and we enjoyed our time here a lot!

First college basketball game of the trip! UNM vs Arizona State. It’s a preseason game so the arena isn’t full but we’ve been told that during the regular season this is one of the loudest arenas in the country.

The UNM game last night was such a cool experience and made us think that we might actually prefer games in smaller stadiums. The atmosphere feels more personal and you keep running into the same people over and over again. At the tailgate, in the stadium, after the game at Raising Cane’s. Obviously the experience in those huge 80,000+ stadiums is hard to beat but these smaller venues have their own charm too. And the atmosphere last night was really good as well!

We are here for the big one: UNM vs. NDSU! The weather isn’t really cooperating right now. There’s a thunderstorm going on, but it’s creating a pretty cool atmosphere here in the stadium!

Tailgating might just be the best thing ever!

It‘s gameday here in New Mexico!!!! Finally some cooler weather and such a welcoming atmosphere. So many cool people here!

The Minions were on the run in Albuquerque last night! Yes, that’s the costume we ended up getting at Spirit Halloween. We wanted matching costumes for all three of us, and this was the only one they had in all our sizes. After that, we went to a Halloween party (a week early, I know) and played USA vs Germany in beer pong. It ended in a 1-1 draw, so the deciding game will be played at the tailgate today! 🇺🇸🇩🇪

We’ve arrived in Albuquerque and just spent at least two hours inside a Spirit Halloween store. I’ve never seen so many costumes in one place! There was so much to choose from, but we had to find something for Halloween.

We’re now driving on the iconic Route 66 on our way to Albuquerque! 🇺🇸

Everyone told us to go West. So this is what we‘re doing now. First New Mexico, then probably Colorado and Utah. And always trying to find a college football game along the way. This weekend: New Mexico vs NDSU in Albuquerque🏈
