Everybody wants the benefits of good incentive structures, but no one is willing to suffer the costs of good incentive structures.
So we get bad incentive structures and people whining they can't get what they want.
RT @ChristianHeiens: If there’s anything Brazil has taught us over the last four years, it’s that Leftists will rig elections, call themselves defenders of democracy while they’re doing it, hijack the courts after they’ve won, use them to convert the country into a soft dictatorship, and then arrest their political enemies, ban free speech, and attack social media platforms they can’t control in order to guarantee that they never lose power ever again.
And with that power they will construct an inverted hierarchy that places troons, third worldists, criminals, drug addicts, and mentally ill lunatics at the top of the social pyramid, all while acting like they’re fighting for equality and just being a heckin’ decent human being.
You can start by not sounding like an insane person.

Leftists will accuse their enemies of vicious friend/enemy distinction as they defend their friends breaking immigration law and defrauding people when their enemies say defrauding people was bad.

This is perhaps the most disgusting and vicious use of Schmitts friend/enemy distinction I have seen on here in a long time by a professing Christian.
Joel Berry opposes his long term political project for America, he’s not the only one by the way, he just happens to be a very effective one.
Because Wolfe can’t fight on the battleground of ideas, he lies.
No first he gaslights people, then he lies, then he smears someone else’s character and then he uses this as an opportunity to gate-keep “conservatism” away from actual conservatives.
Who appointed you judge, jury and executioner of this? Samuel Sey says he came here legally. His wife says he came here legally. DHS itself says he entered legally in 2022. The only dispute is whether his paperwork was in process or lapsed, and nobody has shown a single filing either way. Helping a family with a detained father and legal bills isn't fraud.
But you couldn’t help yourself, you had to show your true colors once again. Since when is Christian charity dependent on immigration status or skin color or whatever you’re basing it on these days.
The people donating to this know very well what’s going on in this case and they can go check for themselves. They don’t need you to be the moral arbitrator of truth. Especially given your own problems in that category because clearly this isn’t fraudulent in any way.
Why are you the overseer of this entire process except because you want to take down to Joel by any means necessary even if that is at the expense of a wife with three kids to support.
I don’t know if people just don’t see how unfairly some of these new right acolytes treat people who are a threat to their proposed power project or if they just choose to live the other way because it’s extremely disturbing to those of us who are paying attention.

I really am a reasonable moderate on this whole thing. If Samuel’s wife had launched a fundraiser saying “We don’t know what’s happening either way but we need help” that would be far less objectionable than this.
Or if they waited until more was publicly known for sure, either way, and then did one, etc.
But look at the wording. They still call it a “clerical error.” Maybe it is, but there’s a DHS statement that contradicts that. Maybe DHS is wrong? Who knows? Joel Berry doesn’t even acknowledge the DHS statement in the fundraiser anywhere or with either update.
I really do feel for the family. I have no ill will for the Seys.
But Joel Berry is defrauding people while he pretends to be some noble hero (even while his other best friend, James Lindsay, called for someone to be shot today).
This should be the end of anyone taking Joel seriously ever again.
RT @woke8yearold: George Soros is one of the most destructive and evil men that has ever lived. You can’t talk about the influence he has had on politics around the world without sounding like you’re going full QAnon but it’s all easily verifiable
RT @trumpbloodbath: That's one of my best arguments (I think) for voting straight ticket GOP, even if you're not entirely happy with the GOP candidates. The GOP winning is BY FAR the funniest outcome, and who doesn't love a good libtard mass hysteria meltdown?

Why does seeing KKK members being shot upset certain people so much?
RT @atlanticesque: Soros got insane bang for buck. He completely transformed the justice system nationwide by identifying a hitherto underexploited leverage point: prosecutorial discretion. Why bother defending criminals when you can just ensure they’re never prosecuted to begin with? Genius.

This is one of the most shameless acts of fraud and deception I’ve ever seen
The issue isn’t a “fundraiser.” It’s that Joel is lying to Christians about something he doesn’t know for certain (Samuel’s innocence) and taking funds under false pretenses
This is 100x worse than mean words and name calling (which I also denounce)

If the current political right is destroyed and the left has absolute totalitarian power to put you in a cage for the rest of your life on a whim, how do you think a new, real, nationalist right would ever emerge? Even if you think the current order is unbearably corrupt, you still have basic ability to organize and you still have freedom of speech. If you can’t succeed with those freedoms intact, how do you expect to succeed without them at all? It’s like being a slow runner and thinking that the solution is to amputate both of your legs!!!

RT @atlanticesque: Yea turns out it’s an unsolvable problem when government “defense lawyers” and plaintiffs are on the same team.
The only possible solution was highly rigorous application of “actual controversy” doctrine, and that got chucked out by US v Windsor (2013)

It's weird how they will say that Christ is the centre of Christianity.
But we cannot orient the US government around Christianity because Christian Nationalism is bad.
But we need to orient our immigration system, and only our immigration system, around Christianity.

I've glorified poverty and dilapidation largely because I've always assumed I'd be poor forever regardless of what I did. I figured I might as well learn to get enthusiastic about poverty, dysfunction, and obscurity if it was inevitable.
Now that I've escaped it, I ask myself: "What the hell do I do now?"
What do I actually want?
After years of training myself to "want" a poor life on the distant (rural) margins, now that I no longer have to do that I have no idea what it is that I actually want. Always, I've let my blackpilled perspective on my own station interrupt my ability to want anything. If it wasn't ultra-cheap, I simply forced myself to not want it, period.
Now? I could realistically make it work almost anywhere with careful planning. Could get into all sorts of businesses, try anything, make any number of interesting or edifying gambles or ventures... this is solely because of careful, anxiety-inducing levels of fiscal caution and extreme frugality.
If you've ever wondered why it is that I seem "all over the place," it's this exact thing. It's this combined with becoming a father and realizing that the dilapidation and poverty I've forced myself to "want" isn't actually what I want to give my kids.

Thank you for all who have donated! Please keep it going. We can all support ICE and support the rule of law (as Samuel unapologetically does) while showing kindness to a family dealing with such a difficult situation.
This family fully believed there was a green card in process. They had submitted all their paperwork to a lawyer, and had no idea something was amiss.
I appreciate the kindness shown by so many over the past few days. Too many people think our hardline stance for border security and law enforcement also must require personal cruelty, and so many of you are proving them wrong.
THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. ♥️
