Important to celebrate trainee victories: excited to have @HollyMerta's paper out in @CellReports. We use TurboID sub-organelle proteomics to map the ER network. We discover calmin/CLMN, an ER-to-actin tether regulating focal adhesions & cell motility.

RT @OlzmannLab: Great to see this Spotlight article in Trends in Cell Biology highlighting our recent identification of a lipid droplet quality control pathway in which FSP1 protects PUFA-rich neutral lipids from peroxidation, thereby suppressing ferroptosis.

RT @MingLi_Umich: New paper from the lab, lead by graduate student Liang Chen. Here, guided by genome-wide CRISPR screening, we demonstrated that either lipids have a big impact on the lysosomal function, especially under the storage disease conditions.

RT @KivancBirsoy: Our new work by @shanshanliu1218 and @gadmark addresses a fundamental question: how does ER maintain its unique oxidizing environment, while rest of the cell is reducing? Here, we identify SLC33A1 as the major ER GSSG exporter in mammalian cells.
