    I’m deeply saddened to hear of Walter Lauridsen’s passing. We met several times, and I always valued our conversations about our shared belief in second chances and helping people build better lives. Kevin and I are praying for Walt’s children and for Nix and Virginia as they grieve this heartbreaking loss. Our hearts are also with Aage, Christine and Rob, and the entire family.

    Only a Democrat would release an ad titled “What I Believe“ that actually doesn’t actually tell viewers what they really believe. Here’s Iowa Democrat Lindsay James defending her record of supporting puberty blockers and sex-change operations for kids: “I want to tell you what I actually believe. My faith teaches me that all children are made in the image of God. We need to protect kids, and we need common sense rules to keep sports fair, for boys and for girls. Parents know what's best for our kids.”

    This is why I think it's more than possible for @ZachLahn to still win this gubernatorial election in Iowa. Undecided voters are consistently breaking for him over @RobSandIA by massive margins each night. @hinsonashley is also winning leaners over @turek4iowa by a fairly significant margin. But nowhere near this much. Hinson's technically closer before the lean, but her race also features Libertarian @Laehn4Iowa, who is drawing significant support from 2024 Trump defectors who refuse to say for whom they voted. GOP internals show the same where there are third-party candidates, to include the president's own pollster. So, I don't really want to hear the nonsense. He's been steadily chipping away as the money flows and the deal closes. His issue is the same that all Republicans have. Can he get this disaffected group of voters to vote? Tagging @SteveDeaceShow because I know he talks to local pollsters and he might be interested in this.
