most crypto products chase activity for its own sake. signups, clicks, volume. it looks great on a dashboard and tells you almost nothing.
signups can be farmed. volume can be the same money going in circles. price moves for a hundred reasons that have nothing to do with what you built.
so we picked one number: net new money. what members put in, minus what they take out.
it only grows when people choose to save with you, stay, and add more over time.
the idea behind lingo is old. premium bonds figured it out decades ago: people save more when saving can win. one membership, every prize, your deposit stays yours.
here's how we think about rewards:
if you're already here, staying and showing up gets rewarded. your deposit keeps working for you every day.
if you add more, you get rewarded more. growth is what makes the prizes bigger for everyone.
and your activity has value beyond base:0xfb42da273158b0f642f59f2ba7cc1d5457481677. we're working on partner deals where other apps pay to reach an active, committed community. that money goes back into rewards too.
from now on every feature we build gets three questions:
1. does it reward people for staying, showing up, or adding more?
2. is it paid for by real growth, not by money going in circles?
3. can someone game it by moving money they already have around?
if it fails one, it doesn't ship.
the bar is simple: would you choose to keep your savings here next month, and add a bit more?
that's what we're building toward.
