Not a fan of that SB. I want Caminero hitting. Even if he steals it, you walk JR. Not ideal.

Anthony Castrovince @castrovinceFrom @MLBNetwork: The Rays (80 scouts) and Brewers (64) have two of the largest scouting departments in baseball. The Brewers (46 employees) and Rays (39) both rank in the top 7 in MLB in largest analytics departments. Spending to win doesn't necessarily involve top free agents.
Evan Drellich @EvanDrellichCompetitive balance sits at the heart of the fight that will soon shut down MLB. So @TheAthletic took a deep dive into what the state of parity in MLB really is. @enosarris ran the numbers, the league and union were interviewed — and two takeaways stood out. Unlocked:
Jayson Stark @jaysonstNew column: There's a sport where the same teams make the playoffs every year ... But as the Brewers and Rays are reminding us, it's not baseball. So is baseball really broken? Maybe not! Unlocked and free for all to read.
Paul Porter @PaulPorterPVB@LouMerloni Shortening the swing, why is no one talking about Rafaela and his improvement in that category, and setting example for everybody else. I’m an old man who’s been an avid baseball fan and I’m not sure I’ve ever seen any hitter improve in one year the way Rafaela did this year.
Daniel Fox @DanBFox1287I really just don’t understand the thought process that there is a sizable gap between the Red Sox and a true World Series contender. The Guardians and Rays are playing for the AL pennant. Jo Adell and Ryan Vilade are batting cleanup You can’t judge a team on two games. You judge them on 162. And the 162 tells us that, despite all the injuries and first percentile outcomes, they were the third-best team in the AL
Big Tres @WhosYaDaddy25@LouMerloni One thing I really noticed Lou....these teams have a sizable gap between where the Sox are....I don't care that they made the WC again...the gap is clear. The hitting philosophy needs fixed...and the front office needs to figure out how to get this team closer to those ones.
