Take a ride with Mike McCarthy along Greenfield Avenue, where his homecoming brings him back to the neighborhood he loves — and the painful reminders of the brother he lost. “In a lot of ways, frankly, this is for Joe.”

RT @MikeDeFabo: The Steelers are far from perfect. But they’ve done exactly what they needed to early: Capitalize on winnable games, make hay before the grueling second half of the schedule and position themselves to be in the fight down the stretch.

He’s arguably the best position coach, based on performance

@MikeDeFabo NGL, was skeptical how Peko would do w/ this line. 7 games in, and he’s got these dudes ballin!

5-2 vibes

RT @PGHNoContext:

Haha Cam Heyward bats a pass at the line of scrimmage and busts out the classic DB breakup celly

Payton Wilson picks off Tyler Shough. Potentially game-changing play with the Saints in the red zone with a chance to score the go-ahead TD.

T.J. Watt is limping off

No tent. Staying on the sideline with his hemet on

T.J. Watt back on the field

DeShon Elliott in the game for the first time mid-way through the second quarter.

The Steelers allow an explosive pass play but buckle down after that to limit the Saints to a field goal. Score tied at 3 early in the second quarter.

Still no DeShon Elliott. Brisker and Ramsey the safeties in the base to open the second drive.

More interesting two-back wrinkles from McCarthy this week

Wondering if DeShon Elliott will be on a bit of a pitch count in his first game back. During warmups, Ramsey and Brisker were with the first team in the base defense. Elliott shuffled in with the second team alongside Spears-Jennings.

DeShon Elliott is active, but Spears-Jennings and Brisker start at safety in the nickel.

Looks like players will be entering the field through a model of the Arc de Triomphe

Rico Dowdle was questionable coming into the game. He's good to go. Inactives: WR Ben Skowronek QB Drew Allar QB Will Howard (3rd QB) CB Brandin Echols RB Eli Heidenreich CB Terell Smith

T.J. Watt said earlier this week that Alex Highsmith has a French-themed sack celebration planned: "He's done the Mbappe about 4000 times in the last three days."
