I couldn’t be prouder to launch #LeadInSecurity, #NATO’s leadership accelerator for women in defence & security, bringing together 20 emerging leaders from across the Alliance. Almost 1K applications reflect the talent and ambition among women in our community. Over the next 10 months, our mentees will build skills, learn from experienced leaders & grow together. As we approach the 26th anniversary of UNSCR 1325, #LeadInSecurity is one concrete way to turn our #WPS commitments into action. My heartfelt thanks to @BelgiumNATO for making this programme possible & Amb. @Willem_vdVoorde for his presence and commitment, to @DepSecGenNATO Radmila Shekerinska & DG Management/DCoS Lorenz Meyer-Minnemann for strongly supporting the initiative and sharing their leadership experiences with our mentees. Welcome to the @NATO community, mentees. I look forward to following your journeys!

The meeting brought together Allies, partners, military colleagues, NGOs and academics to exchange experiences and explore ways to strengthen cooperation in mitigating and responding to civilian harm. #CHMR is a shared responsibility and it requires continued dialogue and coordination.
