Profondément attristé par le tragique accident ferroviaire survenu en Espagne. Mes pensées vont aux victimes, à leurs familles et aux personnes blessées. En ces heures difficiles, la 🇨🇭 se tient aux côtés du peuple espagnol et exprime toute sa solidarité. Ma reconnaissance va également aux équipes de secours mobilisées sur place.

Aujourd'hui marque le 70e anniversaire du soulèvement populaire hongrois de 1956. Cet événement revêt également une grande importance pour la Suisse, où il a suscité un vaste élan de solidarité au sein de la population. La Suisse a ainsi accueilli quelques 13'000 réfugiés hongrois. Leur présence a contribué à tisser des liens humains durables entre nos deux pays et à renforcer les relations bilatérales entre la Hongrie et la Suisse 🇭🇺🇨🇭

Today marks the 70th anniversary of the 1956 Hungarian Uprising. This event is of great significance also for Switzerland, where it sparked a widespread outpouring of solidarity amongst the population. Switzerland took in approximately 13,000 Hungarian refugees. Their presence helped to forge lasting personal ties between our two countries and strengthened bilateral relations between Hungary and Switzerland 🇭🇺🇨🇭

🇨🇭 🇰🇿 A friendly and forward-looking exchange between Swiss President Guy Parmelin and Arman Shakkaliyev, Minister of Trade and Integration of Kazakhstan, on strengthening bilateral economic ties and exploring future opportunities for cooperation. The discussion highlighted the considerable potential of the Kazakh market for Swiss companies, for example in healthcare, energy, infrastructure and other innovation-driven sectors. Minister Shakkaliyev travelled to Bern on the occasion of the 12th Meeting of the Joint Economic Commission Switzerland-Kazakhstan, which took place today.

I was pleased to open today in Hanoi the Swiss-Viet Economic Forum. Bringing together business leaders, policymakers, and innovators from both nations, the forum serves as a vital platform to map out the future of Swiss-Vietnamese economic cooperation. With the announcement of our FTA, I am confident that we are entering an exciting new chapter in our cooperation, with immense potential to deepen our ties and unlock new opportunities in the years ahead.
