For our Pittsburgh campus community, an update on the complete closure of both eastbound and westbound lanes of I-376 from the Squirrel Hill exit to the Edgewood/Swissvale exit.

PennDOT is replacing the Commercial Street Bridge. Expect a full closure for about 25 days this summer on I376 between the Squirrel Hill Tunnel & Edgewood/Swissvale (Exit 77) interchange. Tentative closure dates are July 10 – August 3, 2026.

Pitt will close May 25 in observance of Memorial Day

Mark Nordenberg, chancellor emeritus, chair of the Institute of Politics and director of the Dick Thornburgh Forum for Law and Public Policy, will serve as our 2026 spring commencement speaker. The ceremony takes place at Acrisure Stadium on May 3.
