Microsoft has also completely restructured its financial reporting into two divisions:
• Agents and Infra: $76.8 billion (+25%), representing 83% of total revenue.
• Devices and Consumer, which includes Xbox: $15.5 billion (-3%), representing just 17%.
Meanwhile, Xbox is undergoing a major restructuring under CEO Asha Sharma, following thousands of layoffs and studio spin-offs.
Sharma has promised to return Xbox to player and revenue growth by the end of FY2027, but the latest figures show the scale of the challenge.
The contrast couldn’t be clearer: Microsoft is thriving thanks to cloud and AI, while its gaming business continues to decline.

Titanfall 2 Turns 10 Today!
Released on October 28, 2016, Respawn Entertainment’s critically acclaimed FPS delivered one of the most memorable single-player campaigns in shooter history, alongside exceptional, fast-paced multiplayer.
Unfortunately, its launch was sandwiched between two industry giants: Battlefield 1 and Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. Despite widespread critical acclaim, the game failed to meet EA’s sales expectations.
A decade later, Titanfall 3 still hasn’t been announced, and the franchise’s future remains uncertain.
Today, we also remember the late Vince Zampella, the legendary co-founder of Respawn Entertainment, who passed away in December 2025.

Sony has officially announced the PlayStation Plus monthly games for November 2026!
Starting November 3, subscribers can claim three games:

South Korean politician Han Dong-hoon has suggested that the country’s president personally play Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4.
According to Han, the game’s storyline, which depicts a North Korean invasion of South Korea, vividly illustrates the potential consequences of inadequate military preparedness.
The politician hopes that the game’s depiction of a devastated Seoul will forever remain a work of fiction.
PlayStation China has set up a special Phantom Blade Zero promotional area in Shanghai.
The event will run from October 28 to November 8, with visitors able to enjoy traditional Chinese lion dance performances on October 30 and 31.
Capcom Suggests Resident Evil’s Main Storyline Could Reach Its Conclusion Within the Next 10 Years!
Resident Evil executive producer Jun Takeuchi revealed that Resident Evil Requiem marks the end of the first phase of Capcom’s long-term narrative strategy, which began taking shape during development of the Resident Evil 2 remake.
Takeuchi believes the franchise’s overarching storyline could reach its conclusion within the next decade.
Capcom also plans to release multiple Resident Evil games during that period, although Takeuchi declined to reveal exactly how many.
Importantly, this does NOT mean the Resident Evil franchise itself is ending.
An interesting detail has been discovered in Control Resonant: a significant portion of the paintings and photographs displayed in the game’s art galleries were created by the parents of Remedy Entertainment employees.
In the game’s surreal version of New York City, players can explore several Könstig galleries, featuring real works of art ranging from colorful portraits of women to photographs of strangely twisted trees.
These galleries contain no enemies or combat encounters. Players may occasionally discover upgrades for protagonist Dylan Faden or solve puzzles, but their primary purpose is to serve as fully realized exhibition spaces.
While some of the artwork was created by Remedy’s own artists, many of the pieces were contributed by their parents.

Journey Composer Austin Wintory Releases 22 Minutes of Unused Music Created for Mass Effect 5
Austin Wintory, best known for his acclaimed soundtrack for Journey, has shared 22 minutes of music he created in hopes of becoming the composer for the now-canceled Mass Effect 5.
Wintory had spent several years in discussions with BioWare and EA about potentially joining the project. In 2025, he recorded an ambitious musical demo featuring analog synthesizers, vocals, and a full orchestra in Los Angeles.
Inspired by the iconic soundtracks of Jack Wall and Sam Hulick, Wintory aimed to capture the musical identity of the original Mass Effect trilogy while introducing his own creative vision.
However, he had no access to the game’s story or narrative details, meaning the music was entirely based on his personal interpretation of the Mass Effect universe.
Wintory described Mass Effect as his favorite franchise of all time and composing for the series as a lifelong dream. He also expressed his heartbreak over the game’s cancellation, BioWare’s closure, and the developers who lost their jobs.
The 22-minute recording was never an officially commissioned soundtrack, but rather Wintory’s personal musical pitch for the project.
