    This is DFW folks... don't take my word for it - take the non-partisan branch of the government that categorizes and divides for the census. The DFW deniers would probably have you believe there are 72 distinct regions of Texas - and we can't have regional conversations.

    Just an interesting note after last night's games. Currently, I am projecting Lewisville and Prosper in the first round, and Prosper is now a 1 point computer model favorite over Lewisville. Talk about a banger of a first round game.. Lewisville can't catch a first round break. Of the 16 teams currently projected in the D1 bracket, that's literally 2 vs. 3 in Round 1.

    We have 210 of our 211 games finished. Currently sitting at 186-23, which is also what Progreso is sitting at. We're both at 89%. I remember getting 90% two times - usually Week 10 or 11.. so we'll see if I can knock out a 90% barrier much sooner than later.. Massey went 182-27.

    WEEK 9 DISTRICT 9-6A DUMP Sachse looks like they have some injuries going on right now. Slow start handcuffed them for a half but they got it going in the second half. Wylie vs. Rockwall is starting to look like a juicy first round playoff game.. Progreso agrees - it's all over but the seeding in this one.

    WEEK 9 DISTRICT 9-6A DUMP Sachse looks like they have some injuries going on right now. Slow start handcuffed them for a half but they got it going in the second half. Wylie vs. Rockwall is starting to look like a juicy first round playoff game.. Progreso agrees - it's all over but the seeding in this one.

    WEEK 9 DISTRICT 4-5A(2) DUMP Anna played around with their food yet again. Denison showed how they could play around with #8 and #1 in this district. Celina has gone from one of the biggest feel good stories to playing dreadful over the last couple of weeks. They have a real chance to lose out at this point and be at the mercy of tiebreakers. Panther Creek could pass Celina despite losing if Denison could steal a win.. Still a lot of crazy hypotheticals that can happen in this district. According to Progreso, despite Frisco's lofty standings, it has the lowest of the 4 teams odds to make it.

    I don't think I've ever had a 4 hour dump before. We all thought AI was going to make this easier, didn't we? I at least did.. lol. Road game, podcast going over time and introducing Progreso Playoff Projections definitely created some challenges but hopefully it gives you some new reading material to consider.. (Remember, AI makes mistakes!)

    SMALL SCHOOL DIGGSY - WEEK 9 CLASS 2A DIVISION I DUMP The Wampus Cats with the big win in 2A tonight. Down go the Gladiators. Yes. The Wampus Cats beat the Gladiators. Italy and Itasca. God bless Texas. Tioga got a big win against Alvord this week. Nocona played Muenster a little better than the model would like. All 7 teams theoretically still alive in 9-2A..

    SMALL SCHOOL DIGGSY - WEEK 9 CLASS 3A DIVISION II DUMP We were all saddened by the passing of Coach Johnson overnight. The Millsap community and the Johnson family is in all of the #txhsfb thoughts and prayers. While we will miss the Earthly contributions of Coach Johnson, we know that Heaven received a warrior yesterday. District 5-3A got even crazier with Tolar having a big win over Hamilton and then Rio Vista got back into the mix with a big win over Comanche. Millsap still sitting undefeated but two big games left which could shift the seeding or create tiebreaker chaos. Stepp announced that Blue Ridge is out of the playoffs, and Valley View said hey?! Why not us?! They had a big win over Leonard this week. The model will show Blue Ridge in the playoffs because it's almost 4am and we'll train it what disqualification means tomorrow.. Ehh.. it's handling it pretty easily actually.. so incoming!
