Government should use AI to make services better: shorter wait times, fewer forms, faster benefits, and more time to public servants to help people. Our latest AI-Ready Government Playbook shows how we get there.

Government needs to avoid these traps: ❌ Endless reviews of low-risk tools ❌ Cutting staff based on hypothetical savings ❌ Automating a broken process ❌ Counting AI licenses instead of better results ❌ Procurement rules unrelated to performance

The test for government AI should be improving service delivery. Did people wait less? Submit less paperwork? Get more problems resolved? Did public workers gain capacity? Read the full playbook here:

Friday is the amicus deadline in the OpenAI copyright case, and the core question is simple: Does training an AI model replace the books and articles it learned from, or make something new? Fair use has always protected the second. Courts shouldn’t rewrite it for AI.

Washington froze $10B in child care funds. Three Democratic governors went the other way: New Mexico: universal child care, ~$12K saved per kid New York: free 2-K for toddlers Virginia: the South’s first paid leave law Part 4 of our State of Affordability series 👇

Democrats aren't running on techlash. They're running on costs. In one week of Democratic House ads, health care aired about 15,000 times. AI aired 523. Voters want lower bills. Winning on that isn't a mandate to bash tech.

RT @Inf4America: Our analysis came to a similar conclusion: data centers were mentioned in just 5% of 1.42 million political ad spots across ten high-profile races. Full analysis here:

I love tech policy, but the "this election is about AI" people need a reality check. Democrats' midterm ads on health care have out-numbered AI ads nearly 30 to 1.

30% of people killed on NJ roads last year were pedestrians. Self-driving cars don’t drive drunk, distracted or tired. A carefully tested AV pilot with strong safety rules could help make every walk to school safer.

New Jersey now has a chance to move forward with an autonomous vehicle pilot program. We believe it’s worth testing carefully, with strong safety rules and close attention to the most vulnerable people on our roads, including children. That’s what a pilot program is for. Every family deserves to feel safer on the walk to school. Learn more at #PedestrianSafety #ChildSafety #AutonomousVehicles #NJ4AVs

Fifteen cents a box adds up fast. Mayor Johnson’s budget would tax every qualifying package delivered to a Chicago address, and the people who rely on delivery most would pay the most. There are better ways to cut packaging waste.

Without data centers, Loudoun County homeowners' property tax rate would jump 91%, from $0.805 to $1.537 per $100. That's more than $5,000 a year on the median home. Data centers have let Loudoun cut its property tax rate 10 years in a row while still funding some of Northern Virginia's best schools, libraries, and public safety. Memphis, Tenn., and Clackamas County, Ore., paused new data centers this week. Loudoun County, Va., takes up its own pause on Nov. 17.
