An update for our authors: View counts are now displayed alongside download counts. View count data only goes back to 28-Nov-2018 so older preprints undercount views. We've logged this issue here for posterity:

You might notice that downloads are higher than views in some cases. We believe this is due to some sources (e.g., Google scholar) linking directly to download rather than to view. Send feedback to @jarnal (this account is not monitored).
