If you’re going to fight an ideology, you had better understand what you’re fighting. The Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) have put their vision in writing: a new constitution, an abolished Senate, and a presidency and Supreme Court replaced by institutions chosen by and subordinate to Congress. I am fundamentally opposed to this vision for America. And I believe understanding exactly what DSA proposes is essential to challenging it. That’s why I went beyond the headlines and followed the records: its candidates, leadership, organizations, political coalitions, organizing strategies, and funding. How many Americans have actually taken the time to read what DSA says it wants? Knowledge is the first step toward an informed opposition. Read my research. Examine the evidence. Draw your own conclusions. And share it. #DSA #DemocraticSocialistsOfAmerica #Politics #PolicyAnalysis #AmericanPolitics #Constitution #Research

A new poll finds fewer than half of voters want their member of Congress reelected. Congress has managed to unite the country, against Congress. 🙄

The FCC announced TODAY that it will vote next month on allowing prisons to jam illegal cellphones. Turns out inmates have been using smuggled phones to coordinate crimes from behind bars. Meanwhile, half of rural America can’t get a decent signal, but convicted criminals are apparently running a call center. 🙄

Interviewer: Why Cuba yes and Yankees no? Maria: The truth is that Cuba is a country & a people that has set a worldwide example with its resistance. It has been under siege by the Yankees for more than 60 years, with an economic blockade that is the reason its people are in the conditions they are in today. And the truth is that it is a worldwide example for the peoples of the world of what dignity, respect, and sovereignty look like. Interviewer: Thank you, Maria. I’m going to respond to you, but I think there’s a lot more that needs to be said. Man in background: I see a lot of people on the left parroting the stupidity from Rafal that the Cuban people is resisting by choice. And excuse me for being so direct, but if you celebrate socialism, you’re celebrating my misery. There you are claiming that Cuba is a historic example of sovereignty, resistance, and freedom. No, sir. What the hell are you talking about? All of this comes from a small little circle of people who needed a fairy tale to sell as the official narrative. So they made up that story about the revolutionary Cuban — we’ll get into that later. I’m telling you, neither the Communist Party nor the leadership represent the real interests of the people. Anyway, that’s my opinion. The opinion of someone who lives here and can’t find that joy of being Cuban anywhere. Because a government that was rotten from the start ended up taking everything from us. Our drive, our courage, our land, our hope, our ability to think — all of it in the name of socialism. The same socialism I see you defending so enthusiastically. So you can understand why I’m confused when I see you there, so pale, so hydrated, so well-fed, talking about realities you don’t actually know. Stop repeating that nonsense, man. Because then the rest of the world thinks it’s true that we’re happy here with the misery and the repression. Interviewer: I’m going to tell you that you’ve been in prison for 263 days for doing exactly that. Man in background: The most honest thing I can tell you today is that neither Trump, nor Miguel, nor Putin, nor the extraterrestrials give a damn about us. We’re the ones who end up having to resist. Between the extreme sanctions, the ones from inside, the debts, the corruption, and all the other joys of politics, they’re killing us slowly. They’ve turned the island into a concentration camp with an escape route to the sea. Possibly the slowest genocide in history. So what resistance are you talking about? Knowing how to go hungry? Lying awake at night wondering what the hell your kid is going to eat tomorrow? Resistance in my ass, which I don’t have. What we are is forced into survival, daily humiliation, and a slow death. Someone once told me something very clear: socialism in Cuba was never the goal. It was just the tool the dictatorship chose, because that’s what it is, another tool of control. If you like “moral resistance” so much, come spend a month here with no electricity, no decent food, and afraid to open your mouth. Then we’ll see how long your armchair romanticism lasts. Resisting is not putting up with garbage for the sake of an ideology. It’s getting up one day and saying enough, even if it costs you your life. Until that happens, keep your historic example, because here we don’t resist, we agonize. Period. Interviewer: It’s very easy to criticize liberal capitalism from the freedoms that it gives you. But when people criticize the system here in Cuba the same way you do in your country, they get locked up. Camil and Ernesto are in prison, and this isn’t the only case. They’re just two of the more than 1,400 political prisoners. Your beloved socialism has turned our island into one of the countries with the most political prisoners per capita. But of course, socialism will keep being judged by its intentions instead of its results. Dear leftist, let me tell you something: slogans don’t feed a family. Capitalism, saving, and hard work, that’s the only way.

This is the United States of America. Not Saudi Arabia. Not Pakistan. Not Iran. Not any of the 50-plus Muslim countries where the call to prayer blasts from the minarets and everyone already knows the rules. You wanna play that , go home and do it there. Heavenly Father, protect this nation from the darkness that has crossed our borders and is spreading like a disease through our communities. Give Your people strength and light. Give our leaders the backbone and wisdom to fight for this country and keep it free. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

This woman isn’t holding back, and she’s asking what Bronx residents deserve to know. You don’t want ICE in your city? What about the American citizens struggling right here? You’re supposed to represent them, not put people who entered illegally ahead of them. The Bronx has homeless Americans while migrants are being housed in hotels and shelters. So who are you really working for?

The U.S. Treasury Department just sanctioned a North Korean operation that secretly gets IT workers hired by American companies. Most of their paychecks reportedly go straight to Kim Jong Un’s weapons programs. North Korea can’t keep the lights on, but somehow they’ve figured out how to get Americans to help fund their missiles through payroll. 🙄

Over $480K. 2018, Thailand: SpaceX engineers built a mini-submarine within days to help rescue a boys' soccer team trapped in a flooded cave. 2020, COVID: He sourced and delivered ventilators and supplies to hospitals for free. 2021: He gave Tesla shares worth about $5.7 billion to charity. 2021: He funded a $100M XPRIZE for carbon removal, one of the largest incentive prizes ever. 2022: Starlink kept Ukrainians connected when their networks went down. 2022, Tonga: Starlink helped reconnect the island after a volcano cut its undersea cable. Wildfires, hurricanes, earthquakes: Starlink terminals keep showing up for rescuers and families. And the biggest one, the one that's easy to miss: he's spent his fortune and 20+ years building clean energy, safer cars, and a future for humanity among the stars. They call him a villain. RT @RadicallyRight_: WE WORK OUR ENTIRE LIVES. WHO’S LOOKING OUT FOR OUR RETIREMENT? 81%. That’s the percentage of Somali immigrant households in Minnesota receiving some form of government assistance, according to a Center for Immigration Studies report. I’m Generation X. We’ve spent decades working, paying taxes, and contributing to a retirement system we’re increasingly worried won’t provide enough to live on. We were raised to believe that hard work meant independence, opportunity, and the security of growing old with dignity. So why is expecting financial self-sufficiency from people immigrating to America suddenly considered unreasonable? And to younger generations demanding more government spending: One day, you’ll be the ones approaching retirement. Have you considered who will be paying the bills then? Immigration should bring opportunity, ambition, hard work, and contribution. America should be a land of opportunity, not a lifetime guarantee of taxpayer support. Because after a lifetime of working, Americans deserve more than financial uncertainty. We worked for our future. It’s time Washington started protecting it. Sources:

Today on Earth, Israelis voted in a national election, but exit polls showed no clear winner. Neither Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s bloc nor his main rival Gadi Eisenkot’s bloc appeared to reach the 61 seats needed for a parliamentary majority. Final results are expected in the coming days. At least 62 people were reported killed and 52 wounded in an attack on Binnari in northeastern Nigeria. The attack happened Friday; authorities reported the updated toll Tuesday, and recovery efforts are continuing. Congo’s Ebola outbreak passed 10,000 confirmed cases, according to government data. Nearly half of those confirmed to have the virus have died. Health authorities are trying to contain the outbreak across multiple African countries. Indian authorities evacuated tens of thousands from vulnerable coastal areas as Cyclone Arnab approached Andhra Pradesh. The storm’s outer bands reached land, and the India Meteorological Department forecast landfall early Wednesday. Singapore and Indonesia agreed to establish a joint task force to strengthen enforcement against illegal land burning, a major source of toxic haze across Southeast Asia. The smoke has disrupted daily life and prompted school closures. The haze crossed borders first. The task force has some catching up to do. U.S. stocks mostly rose, led by AI shares. The S&P 500 gained 0.6% and the Nasdaq 1.2%, even as most S&P 500 stocks fell. Broadcom rose after a financing deal gave Anthropic access to its AI chips. The indexes climbed while most stocks fell. Apparently, a market can be up as long as the right handful of companies are. Explosions were heard in Kyiv, a Reuters witness reported. The report did not establish the cause or whether there was damage or casualties. On this day in 1962, a U.S. U-2 reconnaissance plane was shot down over Cuba during the Cuban Missile Crisis, killing pilot Rudolf Anderson Jr. and bringing the United States and Soviet Union dangerously close to war. That was one day on Earth. See you tomorrow. Same planet. No clear election winner, but a clear mandate for more meetings. 🌎
