Secretary of War Pete Hegseth✓

I look forward to hosting @KhaledNordin at the Pentagon next year to advance interoperability and expand defense cooperation between @DeptofWar and @MINDEFMalaysia

Good to see @mindefsg at ADMM-Plus. The United States appreciates Singapore’s clear-eyed realism and commitment to support continued U.S. presence in the Pacific.

I had another meaningful exchange with Minister Giang as we continue to deepen defense cooperation. We are committed to accounting for those still missing, united in honoring the fallen, and steadfast in recognizing the families whose loved ones never returned.

Productive meeting with counterparts from Australia, Japan, and the Philippines. Deterrence is built on real capability and ready partnerships. We are moving beyond words to practical cooperation along the First Island Chain—bolstering readiness to ensure peace through strength.

I appreciated the opportunity to meet with Secretary Teodoro for the sixth time to discuss modernizing alliance C2, security cooperation, and deterrence in the South China Sea. We are accelerating efforts to modernize @TeamAFP and enhance our interoperability along the First Island Chain.

It was an honor to meet today with defense ministers and delegation heads from the 11 ASEAN Member States. The War Department will continue to work with ASEAN partners to ensure a stable and secure region. Thank you to Philippines SND Teodoro for hosting us.

Great meeting with Indian Minister of Defence Singh. We celebrated the one-year anniversary of the Framework for our Major Defense Partnership and explored ways to strengthen cooperation.

Great meeting with ROK Minister of National Defense Kang at ADMM-Plus. The U.S.-ROK Alliance is built on peace through strength—ready forces, decisive capability, and combined lethality that deters aggression. America stands with allies that are serious about their own defense.

It was a pleasure to meet with Australian Deputy Prime Minister Marles. Together, we are optimizing the Alliance to strengthen deterrence and deliver results.

I met with Japan’s Minister of Defense Shinjirō Koizumi @shinjirokoiz to advance our shared vision of peace through strength. Our strategic alignment is essential to building a credible denial defense—supported by increased investment, greater access, more realistic training, and stronger production of the munitions our forces need.

RT @DeptofWar: Thanks to President Trump’s historic National Guard deployments, Washington, D.C., and Memphis are SAFER THAN EVER BEFORE.

Thanks to President Trump, we are accelerating the Arsenal of Freedom and putting American industry back on top. AMERICAN WORKERS. AMERICAN JOBS. AMERICAN MANUFACTURING.

RT @SeanParnellASW: Today, @SECWAR reinstated Brigadier General Melissa Cunningham. She was forced to retire after declining the COVID-19 vaccine mandate. We will not stop righting the wrongs of the Biden administration.

The War Department has designated Confucius Institutes as a threat to our national security.

Thanks to President Trump, we have the most secure border in HISTORY.

The Arsenal of Freedom has been UNLEASHED.

RT @PeteHegseth: Our Commander-in-Chief (today). He never stops working. He never backs down. He puts America First, always. Honored to serve him — and our great Warriors.

RT @PeteHegseth: American Made. American Manufacturing. American Muscle. American Jobs. The Arsenal of Freedom. Thank you @realDonaldTrump.

.@SECWAR "Under President Trump, it truly is a GOLDEN AGE for American manufacturing. Supply chains are coming home—production is coming home."

As always, it was an honor to visit our warfighters in @CENTCOM today. The best of our country, on a historic mission. Godspeed.

I have officially appointed @Dakota_Meyer to serve as my Senior Advisor for the Barracks Task Force. Dakota will represent my office at installations across the country—going directly to our warfighters, identifying what’s broken, and ensuring we FIX our barracks. Our warriors deserve nothing less.
