RT @jsm2334: Sorry Kat, these were passive reports were among tens of million vaccinated, and were analyzed with all of the other passive reporting systems including VAERs in the USA to identify potential safety signals. Your suggestion these reports were “hidden” and not followed up is untrue. Plus, you are reporting sheer numbers without context for dramatic effect because the numbers sound big. However, given tens of millions vaccinated during that time, who during this early rollout time.period were largely elderly, the background rate of such events (events expected to occur by random chance during that time period if vaccines caused 0 of them) is very large. With passive reporting the raw numbers mean nothing without considering the denominator and, given lack of raw numbers for unvaccinated controls, the background event rate.

RT @GyllKing: @TimesRadio Singapore eh? Where the govt (unchanged since 1959) tightly restricts public assembly, free speech, & media operations. Laws like the Protection from Online Falsehoods and Manipulation Act (POFMA) allow authorities to heavily regulate online discourse and prosecute dissent.

RT @GyllKing: This multi millionaire public school boy lives in Thailand & holds an official UK non-resident status, meaning he pays zero income tax in the UK. He thinks we should forgo our human rights & democracy and be ruled by rich people. The sociopathy of wealth red in tooth & claw.

RT @implausibleblog: Ed Davey calls on Labour to join the EU Single Market and the Customs Union before the next election. Andy Burnham says he's sticking with Labour's red lines for the duration of this parliament. This should be an important reminder to anyone saying Andy Burnham opening the conversation of rejoining the EU is breaking Labour's red lines; it's not. Having a conversation with the EU, scoping our alternatives, including a full rejoin EU, is what any sensible government should be doing, especially given the economic impact on our country. That some are so ideologically opposed to exploring how to improve trade and co-operation with the biggest economic bloc which is on our doorstep, should be a stark warning that they are less interested in what is better for the country and more interested in a particularly ideology, whose outcome keeps the country worse off than it needs to be.

RT @DaleVince: The banks are having a laugh - £200 Billion over last five years - more than half of that is money we pay them, interest on the cash they hold. We need to cut benefits - to banks. The EU did already, as did Switzerland (famously good at looking after money).
