Crashes on Columbus roads claim lives every year, and too many victims don’t survive long enough to reach a hospital. Of the 443 traffic fatalities from 2019 to 2023, only 34% happened at the scene. I’m proud to have secured federal funding to help first responders get crash victims the care they need faster and save lives across Central Ohio.

Railroad crossings in Salem have caused significant delays for residents, local businesses, and emergency responders, creating unnecessary safety risks. I’m proud to have worked with @RepMichaelRulli to secure federal funding to address these challenges, improve safety, and make life easier for the Salem community.

Ohio’s first responders show up on our worst days to protect our families and communities. Thank you to the firefighters, police officers, EMTs, and paramedics who serve, and to the families who support them. Happy National First Responders Day.

I’ve focused on preparing Ohioans for in-demand, high-paying careers, and recently secured critical funding for @CinStateCollege to help train more young Ohioans for successful futures.

For 26 years, Cincinnatians have dreamed of capping Fort Washington Way and reconnecting the city.   I’m proud to have helped secure the funding to make this long-awaited project a reality.

I visited Freedom a la Cart in Columbus to see how this nonprofit is helping survivors of human trafficking rebuild their lives. We also talked about my bill, the bipartisan Enhancing Detection of Human Trafficking Act, which was signed into law this week. I’ll continue working to help save lives and protect Ohioans.

Congratulations to Beetle’s Plumbing Solutions in North Royalton on being named a CO—100 Top Honoree by @USChamber and @growwithco! Ohio family-owned businesses are the backbone of our economy, and I’m proud to see a local company receive national recognition for its success and commitment to serving our community.

Ohio has a long history of leading American space exploration, and we’re building on that legacy.   I hosted @NASAAdmin and leaders from across Ohio’s aerospace industry in Cleveland to discuss how our state is advancing innovation, aviation, and the future of space exploration.

We met with Ohio’s aerospace community and saw firsthand the work underway at Glenn supporting our missions, including advancing nuclear power in space and helping usher in a Nuclear NASA. Had a great time at Harding Elementary with @TeamTresselFC! Teaching our kids healthy habits early in life is an investment in their future and helps build a brighter future for Ohio families.

Ohio’s rail infrastructure plays a critical role in moving goods, supporting businesses, and keeping our economy strong.   I secured this investment for Ohio to make the Toledo Swing Bridge safer and more reliable, allow goods to move more efficiently, and strengthen Toledo’s position as a major transportation hub.

Black Wing Shooting Center in Delaware is a family-owned small business.   I love hunting, fishing, and all outdoor sports, so meeting with these employees on the ground was a highlight of my travels around our state.

The @centrus_energy facility in Piketon will create jobs close to home for Ohioans and produce the energy we need to supply America’s nuclear fuel and lower costs for working families.
