Read the book that’s going to the moon! My book => "Lunar Seed" was chosen for inclusion in a lunar delivery on @astrobotic's #Moon mission. A quirky fun SciFi/thriller story - join our heroine in her quest for justice!

Walter Koenig, who played Chekov in the OG #StarTrek series, has died. He was 90 years old. #RIP "Rest well, my dear friend. Keep navigating a steady course." – George Takei

From Carl Sagan, written in 1995 - chilling! From his book: "The Demon-Haunted World: Science as a Candle in the Dark" - if you want to read something truly scary...

#NASA press conference today at 11AM PST: To discuss: "...details about #Artemis III mission that will send four astronauts to low Earth orbit next year to test critical systems needed for future lunar landings..." #space

Where are we? Is this...Mars? . . . It's the dunes of Oman, taken at night with the Milky Way in all its glory. (Thanks to u/advillious from r/#space)

Where and when will we find alien life? . . . Scientists are divided - some say Titan, Enceladus or Europa. Others bet on Mars, with its surface water evidence confirmed. What do you think? More: #space

2/2 Did you know? Neutrinos fly in a perfectly straight line from their cosmic collisions straight to Earth. To "catch" these ghost particles, Dr. Francis Halzen created IceCube which acts like a map, pointing scientists directly to secrets hidden in our universe. #space

IceCube was created by Francis Halzen, who was awarded the 2026 Nobel Prize in Physics for building it. #space

1/2 For years, humans studied space using light. First with our bare eyes, then with normal telescopes, and later with X-ray or radio telescopes. But light can get blocked by giant clouds of space dust. Now we have IceCube, which uses neutrinos to see things. #space

#NASA's #Perseverance rover has officially marked 2,000 Martian days (sols)! It has uncovered extensive evidence of ancient liquid water and identified high-interest rocks like the Cheyava Falls target containing potential biosignatures. #space

The Vera Rubin Telescope has discovered an asteroid the size of eight football fields - spinning every two minutes! Most likely made of solid rock, not a rubble pile like most asteroids: #space

Did you know? . . . FYI I use no #AI. My posts are #science based, from original sources like NASA and journals themselves.

Hey #authors - what's with the blue frame around my amazon-linked book? My pinned tweet has it. Is it a function of the browser I'm using? (Chrome on a Mac)...I see this on other author's book too.

Heads up! . . . On Nov. 18, 2026, #NASA’s Voyager 1 spacecraft will be 16.094 billion miles (25.902 billion km) away from Earth. It is the distance light travels in 24 hours, also known as one light-day! #space

Did you know? . . . At the autumnal equinox, a terminator line separates day from night that sweeps across the world. At the equinox, that line is straight up and down, and it's the only time of the year it isn't at an angle. #space #time

This epic sunspot looks like a sunflower on acid... The spots are formed by strong magnetic fields perpendicular to the surface, which suppress the convection of hot material from below. Credit: Swedish 1-m Solar Telescope/Luc Rouppe van der Voort #space

It's 1666. You are sitting under an apple tree. One falls down and you watch it. Who are you? . . . That would be Sir Isaac Newton. He developed a theory of universal gravitation watching an apple fall from a tree in his garden (it did not hit his head...). #science #history

Getting back to the #moon - how close are we? Phase 1: Access and Testing (2026–2029) Robotic Landers launch late this year to map terrain and test equipment. Humans may return to the South Pole 2028. All for $10 billion. #space #NASA

#NASA’s Curiosity Mars rover just celebrated its 5000th mission day. This robot has been wandering around #Mars for 14 years! It sent this image back as a "postcard". #space

Thanks vm JC! I'm proud to be part of the Artemis mission, however small...

Where is this pic? Mars? Venus? . . . It's Earth - the Delta Pool, a hidden water pothole located along a sandstone ledge near Moab, Utah. There is no official trail and reaching it requires a steep hike and rock scramble. Polish landscape photographer Karol Nienartowicz.
