- Today we have begun the process of controlling regions. 📢 Over the next few hours we will be reducing the maximum ping on a server to be 175 after we have decided that protecting the largest amount of players from an influx of regions that are more prone to cheating. It’s disappointing for us to have to put these divisions in place with social experience being such a core focus of WARDOGS, but we must prioritise the largest group of players over the minority. Region locking is in progress on the backend, but is more than a switch to make a meaningful impact to the desired effect. We’re sorry we let it get to this point that we are forced to make this decision, but we felt that giving certain regions the opportunity to prevail was the right move. Unfortunately, it has not panned out as we’d hoped and we’ll be getting stricter on cross pollination of regions. @BULKHEAD

We noticed that our community testers were on average reporting higher quality more specific bugs than our outsourced QA teams. We have for years required applicants for all roles submit their Steam recently played when applying to @BULKHEAD, contraversial 'apparently'... but we just want people who give a shit about what they do.. call it passion, call it drive, call it obsession.. whatever you want.. The games industry has been pretty weak for the last 6 or 7 years, but it's getting good again.. If you're interested in working in an industry where you get to make something that people play, be part of a team, and work on something you care about, apply for this. It's an entry level role, you must be in the UK, and it's hard work.. But if you want a way in? Here's an opportunity, we don't care if you're experienced or not.. just that you care. We sped up progression on deliberately and tried to balance the game better, as set out in the patch notes, but it was the wrong call. Some players are reaching end game gear like Tier 4 armour and MBTs within days, so the wipe never really landed. Some things are clearly out of balance and we'll fix them. Others have the community split, so we want to see how those play out first. We won't be doing a knee jerk reset this weekend, as that would be unfair on everyone already enjoying the climb. Instead, we're looking at significantly bringing forward Season 3 and some of its content, so you get a proper fresh start. More details in our dev vlog next week. This is what Early Access is for.
