Starship transiting the Sun this morning during Flight 14 — prior to this morning's mission, this has never been captured before with the world's largest and most powerful rocket. I’ve ached over this shot for years, mainly for two reasons: what does methane exhaust look like silhouetted against the Sun, and how violent are the acoustic energy waves from 33 Raptor engines on the Super Heavy booster? Well...now we have an answer. 📸 - @NASASpaceflight

RT @davill: Today our team lifted and installed New Glenn's second stage (GS2) at @NASAStennis. The vehicle was tandem lifted from its cradle using the Main Derrick Crane at the historic B-2 Test Stand to lift the forward end, while a mobile tailing crane simultaneously lifted the aft end. GS2 was shifted to a vertical orientation, lifted 218 feet above ground, and lowered into the B-2 test position. A great example of what Team Blue and our NASA partners can accomplish together. Final preparations for our first hotfire test are ongoing.

RT @RocketLab: Neutron’s Stage 2 and Thrust Module have arrived to Virginia. After a short barge ride from the Neutron Factory, these major assemblies have now been offloaded on Wallops Island and are going through arrival checkouts. Next up: integrated fluids testing and launch mount interface checkouts for the Thrust Module, with Stage 2 to follow on the test stand beside it soon after.

Space freighters. Scenes from this morning at the Kennedy Space Center turn basin, where NASA’s Pegasus and SpaceX’s Marmac 31 "You’ll Thank Me Later" barges are docked. This is the first occasion they've been seen together in such close proximity, offering a rare opportunity to witness two vessels purpose-built to transport large spaceflight hardware. 📸 - @NASASpaceflight

Pegasus was originally designed to transport Space Shuttle external tanks and was later modified to carry SLS core stages and other related hardware. This time, however, it has been tasked with transporting a New Glenn GS-2 stage to the Stennis Space Center. You’ll Thank Me Later serves as SpaceX’s transportation workhorse for Starship hardware between Cape Canaveral and Starbase, Texas. It is designed to fit either a Super Heavy booster or a Ship.

RT @AstroKomrade: ‘Taking Flight’ (nearly).  Our beautiful Artemis III Space Launch System (SLS) Core Stage left the surface of the earth (briefly) today as it ‘flew over the hump’ via a giant crane in the Vehicle Assembly Building to be mated between our 2 already assembled Solid Rocket Boosters on the Mobile Launcher.  Spectacular job by our SLS, Exploration Ground Systems, and  @NASAKennedy team! Go @NASAArtemis III!
