Eventually, I abandoned the idea. This morning, I woke up thinking about implementing something similar for Naija Radio. While exploring @bachs_hq, I realised I could simply create a dedicated payment link for it without building an entire payment system. And since coffee isn't really our thing, I called mine "Buy Me a Malt" 😂🥤 Added it to Naija Radio, and guess what? Someone just bought me my first malt! 😭❤️ ₦1,000 received, just like that 2 malts ☺️ This is the kind of payment infrastructure I've always wanted in my early days as a builder, to ship and not have headaches with receiving payments. Something that lets you focus on building while making it easy for people to support your work. Arc's on-ramp and off-ramp aren't available in Africa yet, so a Nigerian business can't just turn naira into USDC on Arc and pay us. so we integrated @bachs_hq you can now pay in naira by bank transfer or card. → pick a service
→ pay in naira
→ we convert it to USDC escrow on Arc
→ the team does the work
→ accept and payment is released. reject and you get your naira back plus a bond. for now, every service is $1 ≈ ₦1,400.
