When I read Atlas Shrugged in my 20's, I thought that the villains were way over the top. I can see now that I was completely wrong about that. They're every bit as stupid, predictable, and evil in real life as they were in the book.

RT @yesnicksearcy: I’d ban mayonnaise and imprison anyone who eats it. That goes for Miracle Whip too. If you ruin a sandwich with blobs of white goop, in Searcy’s America, you go straight to jail.

People who eat sandwiches and don’t immediately wipe the mayonnaise from the corners of their mouth after every bite should be banned forever from eating in public.

RT @ChristianHeiens: You need to understand how Right-wing people under 40 view the Left. When we think of Leftists, we do not think of Barack Obama or Ezra Klein. Yes, these guys are on the Left, but younger Millennials and Zoomers on the Right do not think of Leftists in their own age bracket as polished technocrats. These are not the sort of people that make up our Left-wing counterparts that we grew up with, went to school with, or work with. When we think of Leftists, the first thing that pops into our head are a bunch of disgusting, depraved, spiteful mutants who want to destroy everything around them as payback for the crime of being born. We think of Discord troons that invaded our hobbies, Reddit mods who are drunk on the most insignificant power imaginable, that one girl from high school or college who became a literal Communist, and that friend or family member who cut off all contact because we refused to treat their mental illness like a status symbol. We think of people who, if they ever became a majority of the country and actually managed to possess political power, would inevitably kill tens of millions of people out of blind envy and petty cruelty. Younger people on the Right come across as impatient and anxious in their mindset and mannerisms because they understand what will eventually happen when these people succeed their Gen X and Boomer predecessors in the Democratic Party. They know what is to come if their own generational cohorts on the Left actually take power, and they feel incredibly exasperated that it seems like none of their parents or grandparents understand just how late the hour truly is.

RT @brumarsh: @ClayTravis I must say that the "entertainers" dropping out was the best possible outcome. The military band and the singers are killing it. Their enthusiasm, and exceptional talent, and serving our country is inspirational, more than some overpaid pop singer.

RT @utahrattler: I got the final confirmation I was waiting for that the .@Ch_JesusChrist Public Affairs lobbyists (again) operated in the back channels to kill the Utah legislation that would've ended public/tax benefits for illegal immigrants. Was informed it was Public Affairs (PA) running the op and not 'the betheren'. They told the Utah Senate Pres (Adams) that under no circumstances was that bill to pass or move. Thus no senators dared sponsor it. It's a decades established SOP for PA to crawl around the back chambers of the legislature and intimidate legislators while never having the guts to come out into the open to present, debate or discuss their positions. Church Public Affairs, IMO are hypocrites. The church preaches integrity and standing for right despite consequences but PA is the antithesis of that admonition.

RT @CheckCanopy: It’s hard to believe it’s already been 100 days since I received my Neuralink N1 implant. Looking back, the whole journey feels like science fiction that somehow became my everyday reality. The surgery on Day 0 was surprisingly easy. A quick general anaesthetic, a small incision, and the robotic system did the rest — precisely placing the 1,024 ultra-thin threads into my motor cortex. I woke up alert and in good spirits and went home the next afternoon. By Day 3 I was feeling a lot better, and by Day 7 the little scar was already starting to fade. Recovery was genuinely minimal; I felt sharper and more positive than I had been in years after the BCI was turned on. The real fun started in Week 2 when we paired the implant with my brand-new Apple MacBook (my very first Mac). The @neuralink engineers walked me through calibration sessions, and within a couple of minutes I was moving the cursor just by thinking. At first it felt like trying to remember a dream, but by Week 3 it was second nature. Scrolling, clicking, typing — all mind-controlled. The Mac integration was buttery smooth; I went from total Mac newbie to power-user faster than I ever expected. By Day 80 I was ready for the big leagues. That’s when I fired up @Warcraft of Warcraft for the first time with pure thought control. The first raid felt clunky, but once my brain and the BCI synced, it was pure magic. I’m now raiding, and exploring Azeroth hands-free at full speed — no mouse, no keyboard, just intention. It’s honestly brilliant. The freedom is addictive. The social-media side has been just as surprising. Every update I’ve shared has been met with genuine excitement rather than scepticism. Thousands of messages from people with disabilities, gamers, students, and scientists — all asking real questions about the tech and what it could mean for the future. The positivity has been overwhelming and incredibly motivating. 100 days in and I already can’t imagine life without it. The N1 didn’t just give me a new way to use a computer — it gave me a new way to live. Can’t wait to see what the next 100 days bring. Thank you all so much for your support and I will keep you all updated as we continue this journey together.

RT @MarinasHammer: TL;DR: The warning issued by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office was dangerously vague and completely mismatched to the threat the public was actually facing. Ivan Miller had slept in an elderly woman’s shed, waited for her to leave home, broke into her house, waited for her to get home, then shot her in the back of the head with a .45, wheeled her body to the shed in a wheel barrow, left her there, drove 15 miles away and murdered two more women - including shooting them and stabbing one in the heart. There was an armed triple-homicide suspect actively moving through the area who had just brutally executed three women. Yet the Facebook post simply told residents to “take extra precautions,” keep lights on, and stay with others. News flash: Margaret Oldroyd was inside with the lights on when she was murdered. Linda Dewey and Natalie Graves weren’t alone when they were murdered. People cannot make informed decisions about their safety if the threat is minimized or obfuscated. The suspect already knew law enforcement was looking for him because he was driving the car of the woman he had just murdered. The only people left in the dark were the citizens at risk in Southern Utah. Failing to tell the public the true nature of the threat only serves to protects the sheriff’s office. Public safety requires transparency when the threat level is this high. Rant over.
