Naim Qassem: In light of the current developments in Lebanon and the region, we reaffirm the following:
1. The resistance continues with the legitimacy of the right to resist, as guaranteed by the Taif Agreement, and will confront any aggression against it and Lebanon. There is no room for discussion about withdrawing its weapons as long as the occupation exists and its aggression continues. The enemy must withdraw according to the agreement of 27/11/2024 and Resolution 1701, and the Lebanese army must deploy in southern Lebanon, north of the Litani River.
2. The "Framework Agreement" has no legitimacy because it violates the Constitution, the Taif Agreement, the laws, the presidential oath, and the government statement. It is, by its very nature, non-existent. It is an agreement that gives the enemy what it does not have, and it compromises the sources of Lebanon's strength, relying on division and the destruction of the country.
3. We attach great importance to the agreement between Iran and the United States, as it represents a source of strength—alongside the steadfastness of the Resistance, our people, and their supporters. The effectiveness of this agreement was demonstrated the moment the memorandum of understanding was launched, leading to a reduction in the level of aggression against Lebanon. The Islamic Republic of Iran has placed the cessation of Israeli aggression against Lebanon and the withdrawal from its territory at the very top of its priorities—a profound sacrifice for which we, as a beacon for the free people of the world, express our deep appreciation.
4. It is of no concern to us who governs the usurping Israeli entity. However, let it be known that it will not be able to sustain its occupation, and it must withdraw from our land.
5. An end must be put to American tutelage and its control over certain state apparatuses; such tutelage is akin to occupation, and both constitute a violation of sovereignty.
6. We salute the remarkable solidarity shown by our people—and all honorable citizens in our country—in support of the resistance. We reaffirm our pledge—a solemn promise and commitment—that we shall stand together through the processes of providing shelter, restoration, and reconstruction. We will utilize our own resources while also striving to ensure that the Lebanese state fulfills its duties, alongside the assistance provided by our sisterly and friendly nations.
7. We are committed to national unity, and we are ready to do everything to bridge the divide and unite the position, but we want actions from others that practically confirm this belief in unity
8. We assure you that the relationship between Hezbollah and the Amal movement, as well as the allied forces supporting the resistance, is strong. We uphold the sovereignty of Lebanon, emphasize the importance of the national army and its support, and reject sectarianism in all its forms. We advocate for dialogue and understanding with all components of the Lebanese people and the government, within the framework of national sovereignty and the constitution.
