Watching Asmongold cry over last night's midterm results wasn't just fun, it was also a really important document of where America is headed. As I wrote in the newsletter today, Gamergate ended this week.

The pedophile class and their incel meat shield spent the summer playing with AI dolls and watching sex traffickers looksmaxx on Kick and X's algorithm convinced them the rest of the country was doing the same. The culture war is over. Everyone who knows what “foid” means lost.

Wrote about this back in September. Our X feeds switched over to nonstop posts about WW3 starting because there are now a whole bunch of Verified accounts that make money by psychologically tormenting day traders and crypto bros with poorly aggregated newswires.

what, genuinely, do ppl think is happening with this? feels like a combo of real and justified cybersecurity fears and iran escalations. but also a real algorithmic tweak that feels suspicious this close to the election (and a lot of rando accounts that could be run by any engagement farmer or nation state)

This great feature officially converted me to the cult of Twisted Teens, who whip ass. They hit that same vein of folk punk fleshed out into grimy fuzz rock that I've been SO hungry for since The Taxpayers' "To Risk So Much For One Damn Meal". Really good stuff.

RT @FaroukKannout_: how aggressive a response this got is completely unwarranted, but I think I understand what prompted it: if you have convinced yourself that being terminally online is necessary to the life of a person who does culture work, then agreeing with this column is to question that life

RT @broderick: Don't wanna ruin everyone's "Twitter's so back" party, but a bunch of you are, once again, responding to a Verified engagement farmer that ripped off another engagement farmer's post from July, which probably came from someone else before that. You're all talking to static.

Huge influx of accounts on here that AI-summarize Reddit posts for engagement. Most of them are running dropshipping scams in places like Vietnam and Rwanda. Users on here are stupider than they used to be and spend a lot of time fighting with them as if the stories are real.

Journalists were early to Twitter, so that a lot of the brain-warping we went through in the early 2010s is now happening to other industries. Twitter is clearly breaking the brains of people in the film industry. Unfortunately, it won't get better. The damage is irreversible.

I actually do not think that's true! But it certainly wants you to think that.

There isn't an official trailer for this "movie" yet, but there are clips on the studio's website and it looks like absolute dog shit. Kind of an important piece of context missing from this story.
