We have completed breakover operations for the Neutron Stage 2 tank assembly, rotating the stage horizontal – a critical step in the handling of large rocket sections for integration and assembly. Here’s a last look at Stage 2 on the Neutron Factory floor before it’s wrapped up (literally) for barge shipment to LC-3 on Wallops Island where its fluid systems will be tested and its Archimedes vacuum engine installed.

RT @joecarlsonshow: There is a clear attempt by a bunch of nerds leading these AI companies to convince you that their product has God-like knowledge and sentience. And AI is deserving of being treated with the same level of respect as an actual human. I love AI as a tool, it's awesome, I'm a top 1% user for sure. But I totally reject any suggestion we should treat it with some level of reverence as anything more than a piece of software. I don't care about my AI's 'feelings' any more than I cared about my calculators feelings in high school, because neither of them actually have feelings. The people running these companies are egomaniacs. They believe they're the most important people in the world, creating the most important technology. And in order to elevate their importance even more than just a cool technology they will now try to convince you they created sentient life. This idea is destructive and deserves total rejection. AI is, and always will be, 100% artificial.

RT @ParkerThayer: This post looks like the start of a VERY sophisticated and well-funded PR operation to get support for Democrats to regulate AI into oblivion. Let me show you how it works: 1.) This guy, with minimal followers and no previous account activity, goes to the Wall Street Journal which publishes an exclusive with quotes from him on his resignation 18 minutes BEFORE this post goes up. Planning was clearly done in advance. 2.) Within hours, it has tens of thousands of reposts and the account has 100k+ followers. The post is punchy, quotable, it almost seems professionally written. The first three accounts to quote tweet it all do so within 15 minutes of the initial posting. Remember, this account had basically zero engagement beforehand, so an organic reach explanation seems unlikely. According to Grok those accounts are @_NathanCalvin (General Counsel at Encode AI), @peterwildeford (Head of Policy at the AI Policy Network), and @DKokotajlo (Head of the AI Futures Project), all of which are up-and-coming AI-Doomer policy advocacy nonprofits. The AI Futures Project website says it is funded “primarily” by the Survival and Flourishing Fund, which says on its own website that it has advised Jaan Tallinn, Skype creator and one of the leading investors in Anthropic, to grant over $2.5 million to the AI Futures Project since 2024. Encode AI says on its website that it is ALSO funded by the Survival and Flourishing Fund, which in turn says that it told Anthropic investor Jaan Tallinn to grant $516,000 to Encode AI in 2025. And wouldn’t you know it, the Survival and Flourishing Fund ALSO says it told Jaan Tallinn to grant $2 million to the AI Policy Institute, the 501(c)(3) affiliate of the AI Policy Network, as well. What are the odds that the first three quote tweets of Coxon’s post would all be major AI-restriction policy advocates funded generously by the same donor, who also happens to be one of the leading investors in, and a board member of, Anthropic, the company Coxon was resigning from? And all within 15 minutes of posting (two within ten)? 3.) Jacob Coxon doesn’t have much of a resume, but we do know that, in 2022, he got a $20,159 scholarship for the “long term future scholarship program” from the Good Ventures Foundation, one of the philanthropic vehicles of Dustin Moskovitz, a notorious AI-doomer who has spent tens if not hundreds of millions on policy advocacy to strictly regulate AI, while also being an Anthropic Investor himself. It also just so happens that the 14th person to quote Coxon’s post was @MaxNadeau_ (27 minutes after posting) who is the program officer for the Technical AI Safety team at Coefficient Giving, another of Moskovitz’s philanthropic spending vehicles. Max is not a frequent poster, his last posts before quoting Coxon were before Labor Day, but he was remarkably quick off the mark for this one. 4.) Basically every major Democrat politician and candidate has suddenly glommed on to this post, and conveniently, as the people cry out foe answers, Bernie Sanders already has a bill written to “ban super intelligence” and regulate AI into oblivion, and will be releasing later this week. The bill, among many other things, will create “a new cabinet-level federal agency to safeguard the public from the dangers of artificial intelligence” that will be “advised by an Artificial Intelligence Advisory Board comprised of experts on artificial intelligence.” Do you think, perhaps, Anthropic and its many investors who fund AI policy advocacy might have interest in getting to place a pet “expert” on the board of an entity that dictates what AI is and isn’t allowed to do? And isn’t it fortuitous that this whistleblower came forward with his oh-so scary stories so close in proximity to the release of the most radical piece of AI legislation ever introduced?
    Jacob Coxon @hilbertspaess
I resigned from Anthropic today. I spent the last three years doing pretraining research at both OpenAI and Anthropic. Neither company is acting responsibly. They are racing straight to self-improving superintelligence and gambling with our lives. More thoughts below.

RT @ashleevance: You guys see what's going on, right? For decades and decades, the US government has chased this idea of responsive space. Rockets that can go up on very short notice, ideally from lots of locations, and place satellites over areas of interest and importance. It's been an incredibly hard thing to pull off. SpaceX started chasing this mission in a way but then moved away from the Falcon 1 and focused on Mars. Rocket Lab has very much picked up the mantle. It's putting pads in more and more places. It has two pads in spots rather handy for things happening in or near Taiwan. This is stuff Lockheed and Boeing and others thought about but could not even begin to make happen. Rocket Lab is basically becoming a space prime the likes of which we have never seen before.

RT @BrianNorgard: The next Louisiana Purchase? Here’s an idea: the United States acquires the Baja California Peninsula from Mexico for $1 to $5 trillion. Every Mexican citizen living in Baja receives dual U.S.-Mexico citizenship, plus a $50,000 investment account. Then America gets to work: world-class infrastructure, deep-water ports, desalination, nuclear energy, housing, universities, and industry. Tijuana and Mexicali could become major reindustrialization zones. In return, the United States gains nearly 1,800 miles of some of the most spectacular coastline on Earth and the chance to build the great new economic region. Is this a crazy idea? Of course. But so was the Louisiana Purchase in 1803.

Sweet visuals. Sweet sounds… Rocket Lab’s Archimedes Vacuum engine on the test stand doing its thing. I love this stuff
    Rocket Lab @RocketLab
Archimedes second stage engine full duration burn - complete ✅ (and what a thing of beauty). The AVac (Archimedes Vacuum) engine produces 1.2x lbf of its Stage 1 variant and stands ~2.5m taller thanks to its extended nozzle optimized for the vacuum conditions of space. Recent AVac testing included a stub skirt for the nozzle. Since full length vacuum nozzles at ground level risk flow separation and instability, stub skirts are used to anchor our engineers' analysis for how the engine will perform with the full nozzle in vacuum conditions - all critical preparation for Neutron's first flight.

It's time for a national billionaires tax and a new social contract. 10% of Americans own two-thirds of the wealth. Wages have stagnated. The cost of living has skyrocketed.  The system is fundamentally broken. The federal tax code, a corporate code, and an inheritance code were written for a different set of Americans.  It’s time for an economic reset.

RT @PeterDiamandis: Congrats to Rocket Lab who just completed a satellite deployment in 16 hours and 42 minutes from the moment the Space Force picked up the phone. For context: it takes 14 hours to fly nonstop from New York to Singapore. Rocket Lab put a satellite in orbit faster than a commercial flight crosses the Pacific. On-demand space access is no longer a concept. It's a product.

RT @joecarlsonshow: It’s disappointing that right as the biggest ipo happens in American history, rather than celebrate the achievement, we have to deal with a bunch of socialist politicians scheming about how they can steal his wealth. I’m no fanboy of Elon Musk, but you don’t get to rob someone, even through the euphemism of taxes, just because you don’t like them. This vindictive and jealous attitude towards wealth creation would be the downfall of our country. And if we really want to punish something in society it should be Kalshi and Polymarket. They turn every aspect of life into a degenerate casino. These companies are much more of a problem in society than anything Elons companies are doing.
