    RT @NiallHarbison: Last week I was asked if we could take 2 golden retrievers who had been surrendered. As soon as I saw the video of them looking frail, broken and unwell I agreed. 2 very kind ladies fought for their freedom and drove the dogs to meet our team today. The story is complicated and I wonโ€™t go into it here. What I can share is that a third sibling died. Although these 2 dogs look ok at first glance there are so many problems. Their fluffiness is covering some very malnourished and unhealthy dogs. Despite that their tails wonโ€™t stop wagging. The ladies who saved them named them Bonnie and Clyde. The perfect names for 2 dogs on the run from their past and hoping to start a new life with us. There are a lot more questions than answers right now for these 2. What I do know is that we will try our very best to save them, build them back up and make better lives for them. Bonnie and Clyde have had some early treatments and are sleeping beside each other in the hospital. Letโ€™s see what we can do ๐Ÿคžโค๏ธ

He could do with losing a little weight (bless him! ) and ideally should be around 5.5kg. Toby (tan boy) is 10 years young and a tiny 3.8kg. They may be older gentlemen, but please don't scroll past them because of their ages! These two have plenty of life, love and adventures left in them and deserve the chance to live their very BEST LIVES. They appear to get along with other dogs, subject to successful meets. They've been fine with cats belonging to family members. They've previously lived with young children, but because they're getting older we'd ideally like a slightly quieter home with children aged 8+. Younger visiting children or grandchildren should be absolutely fine. They froze when taken outside on a lead, and it was heartbreaking to see. They now have a chance to learn what it means to feel safe, loved and cared for. All six are severely underweight, with a body condition score of just 1. They have a long road ahead, but we are determined to give them the happy, healthy lives they deserve. WE URGENTLY NEED YOUR HELP! We have already spent over ยฃ800 on their initial vaccinations and microchipping. They still need further vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, neutering, veterinary care and ongoing rehabilitation. With six pups to care for, the costs will quickly add up.
