Battlefield Addiction founder Art Dahlen calls Wilson’s failure to understand or address the fentanyl crisis “extremely negligent” and demands an apology from Scholes for dismissing service-resistant people as a “myth,” during a press conference last week “We have parents begging their sons or daughters to get medical attention, go to detox and treatment, or just come home.” “Mr. Scholes, what you call a myth is our reality.” Dahlen says Wilson’s homelessness plan “denies or ignores that fentanyl is a major cause of what’s occurring on the streets of Seattle.” “The people addicted to fentanyl need detox and medical services.
