Q2 is in, and it was a monster quarter. → $116B in merchant sales, up 32% YoY → $3.6B revenue, up 34% YoY → $654M free cash flow, 18% margin Five quarters running, GMV has grown more than 30%. The bigger story is underneath the numbers: every shift AI is creating happens to play to @Shopify's strengths.

Personal agents are THE story right now. The latest: @claudeai Duet. Anyone can go from idea to Shopify store right in the chat. Then let Duet help run it. Can't wait to see what this unlocks for new entrepreneurs.

Last week we shared the numbers from @Shopify’s Entrepreneur Effect report. Then people started sending me their stories. Reading them is the best part of my job. Never been a better time to be an entrepreneur.

RT @PixelJanitor: Today marks 1 year of joining Shopify. The shift from startups to a large public company has been a thrilling learning adventure, but exciting as hell. - Things move slow - Bureaucratic process everywhere - Decisions take forever That's what I was warned it would be like. But here's how it actually is: - Things move as fast as how great something can be - Process is constantly questioned and trimmed - Decisions are simply a DM away Big things are happening and I'm excited about what's to come. This morning I joined @ridd_design for another dive club episode to talk about my experience in all this, and I'm so stoked to share our chat when it comes out in a few weeks. Happy 1 year, Shopify. Thanks for having me around.

RT @eytanseidman: +1 to what Martin has in the thread below. We take the role of maintaining the Shopify App Store seriously. And that means we are constantly monitoring apps to ensure they meet our app store requirements and also ensuring that apps are secure for merchants and buyers.

The @Shopify App-ocalypse keeps escalating, with lists like this one showing 135 apps delisted, and counting. It's easy to pile on, especially if you run apps in a vertical where competitors have been impacted. But I think it's important to remember a few things:

Palestinian flags. Burning buildings. Looted stores. At a "student protest" about school conditions. The cause changes. The chaos doesn't.

🇫🇷 Crazy footage from Limoges, France, right now. The town hall is on fire with thick black smoke pouring out and flames right at the entrance, while the crowd just stands there watching. These students keep wrecking public buildings and treating it like some kind of protest. Zero respect for anything. Writer: Daniyal

Pedigree is overrated. Grit isn't. Bloomberg on who he'd hire: "the person whose father never was there, whose mother was in a drug treatment program. And he had to go and work three shifts at McDonald's to take care of his siblings." "No matter how bad things are — looks on the bright side, takes the bull by the horns, puts in the sweat capital. That's where the results are."

Love seeing this. Mazel tov to the Kraft family and Chabad Chestnut Hill 👏 A Chabad house changed my life as a broke law student in Ottawa. It's why Lindsay and I built the Finkelstein Chabad Jewish Centre there. We wanted to give back to the city where it all started for us. More of this, please.

Bonobos started in 2007 with one mission: fix men's pants. Then in 2012, the online brand did something unexpected. It opened stores. There are now 48 across the U.S. And today, every one of them and runs on @Shopify. Every store, every stylist, and every size working from the same system. We handle all of that, so Bonobos can keep doing what made them great in the first place. Welcome to Shopify, @Bonobos.
