Everyone probably wondering why I'm going nuts over this. Even made me retire from my other position on X.
I typically find the tokens that have the new narrative or tek. I'm not gonna bore you again with the calls I've made. I will bore you with the tek side of this tho.
What makes this coin unique? There is nothing else like it launched right now.
Tari's core uniqueness is a two-layer design where privacy is the default, not an opt-in feature. Zcash is the one where shielded is a choice — Monero hides sender, receiver, and amount on every single transaction by protocol. Tari's base layer is a Mimblewimble implementation in Rust, so that same default privacy carries over. On top sits the Ootle, a Byzantine-fault-tolerant layer two launching November eleventh, where you get smart contracts and confidential assets — things like a stablecoin that's private to users but auditable to the issuer.
The other piece nobody else does is the Turbine Model. The L2 token, TARI, can't be mined at all. The only way to create it is to permanently burn XTM one-for-one, and there's no peg back the other way. Part of every Ootle fee gets burned too, with a consensus mechanism called the Throttle adjusting the rate to keep supply near the twenty-one billion cap. So $XTM has a built-in structural sink that most coins lack.
Then there's the mining. Instead of one algorithm, Tari runs four parallel lanes — RandomX merge-mined with Monero, native RandomX, SHA3X for ASICs, and Cuckaroo29 for GPUs — each locked at twenty-five percent of block rewards. The idea is no single hardware class can dominate, so a laptop, a GPU rig, and an ASIC farm all earn from the same chain at once. Co-founded by
@fluffypony , Monero's former lead maintainer, which is where the privacy DNA comes from.
The Ootle launch is in five days
More info to come but I know there was a lot put out already Ina short time frame.
