@DCMS @TfL Does anyone know how long the accessible queue is, trying to judge if it’s practical for my mum

@Cfm20002 @DCMS @TfL Joined #accessiblequeue with 10-11am wristband. Got in queue at Parliament Sq quickly about 11am, progress stalled inexplicably for an hour. Entered hall at 2pm. Staff were great & brought out chairs but if walking & standing are very difficult a wheelchair would be advisable.

@happyjenloves In any case I'm not sure why you've responded to my tweet with this. I didn't shut the queue. I didn't deny that it's impossible for some people. I'm sharing info on *my* experience as a disabled person in queue + govt advice so others can make informed decisions.

@CatrionaRegina It’s not personal, it’s just the whole thing around the treatment of the so called #accessiblequeue just reeks of shut this queue early with was bad enough, I’ve heard so much on socials that we should just queue with everyone else just not good enough

After queuing for about 5 hours to get #accessiblequeue tickets, we got there.. got 4-5am ! So, we had to book into a hotel, get up at 3 am and walk to #VictoriaTowerGardens From there on it was smooth sailing, even thru security. Got into WH about 4.15am. We’re exhausted….

Was the #AccessibleQueue accessible? No & this is why - 1. Lack of info The main Q had constant updates & good info. Disabled folk need to plan journeys carefully but mostly had to find info from twitter searching; there wasnt even an official hashtag

@rooibus Members of my family traveled all the way to London to join the #accessiblequeue only to find the wait was 6 hours just to get a wrist band.

Accessible queue update - we queued for 2 hours to get our time slot. Most were being given times for tomorrow evening. We luckily got a slot for 8-9am but it’s going to be a long few hours. #QueueForTheQueen #accessiblequeue

Arrived to a gloriously sunny London. Euston was busy but my Assistance mates there made it an easy transfer. Now in a black cab heading the queue. Send prayers to the #AccessibleQueue gods for me 🙌🏽

@ECAllinson @Sarina73 @MrsEgan2 @DCMS I think realistically they should have held more slots for people with accessibility needs, however definied, to allow greater flow of people. Including for elderly people. I've spotted so many elderly people in photos from last night and wondering how healthy it is to be cold

This, if appears, is how we treat disabled people. In 2022. Whilst celebrating the euphoria of the ordinary #QueueForTheQueen the media silence about the “accessible” queue is stark. @AccessibleQ #accessiblequeue @BBCNews @itvnews @SkyNews @Channel4News
