Progress Update on #DataTable component we have been working on, during product discovery we stumbled upon on a great idea. The component shouldn't just give frontend functionality, but also should have backend package which can be installed and configured. It should be open source. To use it, one has to install frontend react component and backend Javascript or @laravelphp package. In backend you need to express your data model using json files (which we are calling as locospec). We went with json because if you just copy those json files into javascript, or tomorrow Go environment, it should still work. Behind the scenes update: - Table by default has Infinite scroll with cursor pagination (best for performance) - Handles search - Handle dependent/linked dropdowns (I think my fav feature) - You can resize, reorder, hide columns - Make custom views (another fav feature) - Add custom columns Usually building such a component takes lot of effort in backend and frontend, soon we hope to challenge that notion.
