“Never Give In”
“This is the lesson: never give in, never give in, never, never, never, never—in nothing, great or small, large or petty—never give in except to convictions of honor and good sense. Never yield to force; never yield to the apparently overwhelming might of the enemy.”
~ Sir Winston Churchill

LET’S GO BACK TO THE BLOCKCHAIN
On May 30, 2023, BLURR shared this message in its original Old Norse language:
Sendi áru allvaldr þaðan of land ok um lög leiðar at biðja, iðgnógan Ógnar ljóma brögnum bjóða ok burum þeira.
Which translates to:
“Then the ruler sent an arrow over the land and sea to seek help, offering generous gold to warriors and their sons.”
Why did BLURR share this message on-chain in connection to the REFUND project?
This quote speaks to the act of seeking allies and resources through significant offerings, a common theme in epic tales and sagas. If you have been following our journey from the previous cryptic messages, you will know that our hero Harold, having been captured by Count Guy of Ponthieu, has now found a way to escape and signal for help. What is particularly interesting about this Old Norse quote is that the ruler, whom we will call Harold, uses an arrow to signal for help.
We believe BLURR once again used this particular Nordic quote to connect his overall message and vision for the REFUND project back to the ongoing battle and struggle for power that began with the old Titan God Hyperion fighting a losing battle against Apollo and the Olympians. This battle is a hypothetical connection to the political and economic struggle for power and control we are currently witnessing. A new generation is standing up against egregious political greed, corruption, and the blatant double standards that powerful political elites enjoy when they engage in trades for which individuals would likely be arrested.
The use of an arrow by the ruler to signal for help is our biggest clue, as Apollo, the Greek god of the sun, is known for his supernatural abilities with the bow and arrow.
BLURR shared this message to highlight the importance of leadership, strategic alliances, and the willingness to share wealth for mutual benefit. It symbolizes the power of outreach and communal support necessary to build and sustain a successful venture, emphasizing strategic cooperation and the sharing of value within the REFUND community.
