We want to show contrast as a number in #FontLabVI. Say you have a “sans O” with the horz. stroke = 74 and vert. = 91, and a “serif O” with horz. = 10 and the vert. = 97. Would you prefer to see the H/V % (sans 81.3%, serif 10.3%) or the V/H ratio (sans 1.23, serif 9.7)?

Turn on View > Cousins in #FontLabVI, and you’ll see visually related glyphs behind your current glyph. Group cousins by putting all related glyphs into one line in Preferences > Cousins; change color, offset and align visually. Double-click to switch the current cousin! #FontLab

@RafalBuchner @roboFontEditor We’ve also done actual matching where you mark the start and end of a section (series of segments) across masters, and #FontLabVI makes that section conpatible. But I think this type of visualization would be useful even as you draw! 👍🏻

Use Smart Corners to create live, non-destructive rounded corners and ink traps. Globally change the smart corner tension and ink trap width in Font Info > Font Dimensions. Expand Filters or export the font to get the final outlines. #FontLabVI #FontLab
