MISSING CHILD ALERT: PHILADELPHIA POLICE CONTINUE SEARCH FOR 10-YEAR-OLD GIRL MISSING FOR MORE THAN A WEEK
Philadelphia Police are continuing their search for 10-year-old Jalayshia Alford, who has been missing since Monday, October 26, 2026.
According to police, Jalayshia was last seen that morning on North Simpson Street near Haverford Avenue in West Philadelphia.
Investigators have been going door to door throughout the neighborhood, interviewing residents and reviewing home surveillance footage in an effort to determine what happened to the missing child.
Police have also deployed K-9 units to search the surrounding area.
DESCRIPTION AND LAST KNOWN CLOTHING:
According to neighbors, Jalayshia was last seen wearing:
• Blue school uniform shirt
• Blue skirt
• Blue pullover
• Blue stockings
• Eyeglasses
On Monday, November 2, police conducted an extensive search in the 500 block of North Simpson Street, where cadaver dogs were reportedly used to search for potential evidence.
Authorities have not announced that Jalayshia has been located, and her disappearance remains under investigation.
Anyone who may have seen Jalayshia, has surveillance footage from the area, or knows anything about her whereabouts is urged to contact the Philadelphia Police Department.
