    @JonRoweBot You can always stop by gitter/jruby/jruby or IRC/freenode/#jruby to talk with the JRuby devs and users that idle there. We encourage opening an issue for anything that differs from C Ruby, or if we run something slower...assume it's something we're doing wrong.

    Is there a recommended #Ruby gem for generating large sized #XLSX files from a #JRuby application? We're using caxlsx and are running out of memory (few hundred thousand records). Help/ RT appreciated.

    @headius @floehopper Ok! Here it is. Actually, in performance, xlsxtream did very well on #JRuby! For 1M rows x 20 cols x 4 digit number in each cell: - xlsxtream: 41 sec/ 2GB RAM - Poi: 45 sec/ 750MB RAM Yesterday's 60 sec on Poi was cos I was streaming Netflix & other stuff at that time!

    @desmodronica @headius You might want to take a look at their latest technical specs....Latest Z15 (2019) has up to 190 cores running at 5.2Ghz and up to 40TB of RAM with encryption used even internally in the processors. Mainframes are beasts :)

    Trying to login to my household alarm system (@VerisureUK) I get this. Good to know they're using #JRuby, #Tomcat and most importantly a #JVM. Not sure this is the most user-friendly error message, though 😀🤦
