My latest article for @shot_au where I point out that Segal's latest 'report' was not requested by government or the PM. It's simply a rehash of last year's report - with a purpose beyond its pages. It's arrival has more to do with her strategy of filling media spaces with antisemitism angst now the royal commission is over, and also influencing the royal commission findings. It is also a document designed to inflame culture wars and get people arguing and create political division - a classic tactic of conservatives the world over. Nothing Segal says is new, (except of course for the astonishing claim she makes that all Jews in Australia are unbothered by neo-Nazis!) Comments welcome.
