Learning Rust: Mindsets and expectations Rumors have persisted in regards to how hard it is to learn Rust, but it's very likely that these rumors are outdated and refer to a version of the language that no longer exists. #LearnRust #RustLang #Programming

@T_0xide @solanaturbine @rustlang Summary of chapter 7: Packages, Crates, and Modules • Packages contain Crates. • Crates contain Modules. • Modules control Scope and Privacy. • Paths (crate::, super::) locate items. • use brings paths into scope. • pub makes items accessible.

Rust closures feel “simple”… until they don’t 😅 If Fn, FnMut, FnOnce, captures, and move still feel a bit fuzzy, this deep-dive is for you 👇 A practical guide to closures in Rust (with tons of examples): #rust #rustlang #learnrust

    2. Option::map — transform a value if it exists Concept: Transform the value inside an Option without manually matching every case. map() applies a function to the value inside Some. If the original value is None, the result remains None.

    1. VecDeque — build a queue Concept: A double-ended queue lets you add and remove elements from either end. push_back() adds an item to the end, while pop_front() removes the oldest item. This is useful for queues and task scheduling.

value. The closure itself must be declared mut because calling it requires mutable access to its captured state.

With all I have to do, I still keep on with my #LearnRust journey. Today is day 5 and I'm learning about enums and pattern matching. Did you know that Rust's enums could hold complex data types? Not just integers or strings like other languages. They can even have methods just like structs. Imagine you're building a smart home system. You could use an enum to represent and process different types of sensor events:

All core logic, modules, and data structures should live in the library crate. The binary crate acts as an external user, accessing only the public API from This improves API design and enables external projects to reuse your logic.

Alright, Day 1 of my #LearnRust journey started today. It wasn't a marathon. Didn't even fight the borrow checker yet. 😅 Today was just about the first, essential step: getting the environment set up with rustup, making sure Cargo works, and... of course, the classic hello world! Could have skipped it but... meh 🙈, always good to start from scratch! #LearnInPublic #rustlang

🚀 Rust Tip: let vs const 🔧 let: Immutable by default, mutable with mut, allows shadowing, can declare/assign separately. const: Always immutable, no shadowing, must assign on the same line. 💡 Use let for variables, const for constants! #Rust #Programming #LearnRust

🦀 Day 4 of my Rust journey! Today I explored structs — a powerful way to group related data in Rust. Loving how Rust makes you think deeply about data modeling and memory safety. Can’t wait to build something cool with it! #RustLang #LearnRust #100DaysOfRust #Rustacean
