I just pushed new lab - give it a try! #MSLab Testing Rack Level Nested Mirror with Windows Server Insider Preview!

I was able to squeeze 2 node cluster into just 16GB per node. So you can run your Azure Local cluster in 64GB laptop with ease using #MSLab :).

I did a release ~month ago and it broke deployment of Azure Stack HCI in #MSLab. I did not notice, and yesterday I went deep into the troubleshooting what the heck happened. The issue was, that NetATC deployed networking and immediately after that Failover Cluster validation failed. What happened? I released new lab month ago to be able to create multiple networks and route it in DC. To be able to create multiple networks (in multiple VLANs) I modified deployment script to add trunk to Management VMNic in DC. I published Hands On Lab here What I did not know is, that for some reason, all VLANs received IP from DHCP (DHCP is running in VLAN0 - Native VLAN). As result, when NetATC created SMB vNICs, those for some (unknown) reason received IP from management scope from DC. Did I miss something and it's by design? The only way to prevent this happening (the only I figured out) is to add VMswitch into DC (this also allows creating unlimited number of networks as you can create vlan isolated networks by juts creating vNIC). So the last #MSLab release does fix all and new DC has vSwitch included from the hydration phase. If you face weird issues, it might not be your fault. I just noticed that there is a Discussions feature in GitHub. I enabled it for #MSLab, so we can discuss stuff.

Today I received final offer from Dell and I accepted it. So next 2 months will be the last in Microsoft. It has been an awesome ride. You might be asking what will happen with #MSLab and all work I was doing for community. No worries - it will be taken care of!

#MSLab will be managed by @vladimirmach on Microsoft side and I'll continue contributing as Dell employee - Principal Engineering Technologist working under @KennyLowe. But now with access to latest hardware and technology. Exciting times ahead!

@ThomasMaurer Pls just make it right. I spent last two months decrypting docs to be able to create #MSLab scenarios (different Arc for xyz, AVD, AKS... ) for AzSHCI.

How it's going 😏. I guess Ill be joining meeti gs from bed next month or two. My vertebra did not make it, but spine is fine. No surgery needed. I guess there will be more #MSLab scenarios coming as ill have some time for thinking 😁
