    I love interviewing! A gr 2 S said 1 + 8 was 9 "b/c 9 is 1 more than 8." Then I asked him about 3 + 6 & he said, "That's the same problem so it's 9." He explained, "If you take 2 off the 3 & put it on the 6, then the problem is 1 + 8." I'd never heard a child do that before.
