Here's everything you need to know:
1. The Fed held rates at 3.75% to 4% in a 10-2 vote, with two members pushing for a hike. Chair Warsh said inflation remains elevated and the Fed is ready to act.
2. $ORCL ripped about 11% to roughly $144, its best day since May, after forecasting over $225B in fiscal 2030 revenue and capping new funding at $20 billion.
3. AI infrastructure stocks rallied with it. $VRT jumped about 16%, $SKHY rose 13%, $CRWV and $NBIS gained about 7%, and $MU added about 6%.
4. $GOOGL fell 9% after hours after posting negative free cash flow of $9.07B, with search revenue of $63.35B missing estimates.
5. $MSFT rose about 2% after hours on a beat, with revenue of $92.28B and Azure growing 48%. $NVDA and $META each slipped about 1% in the regular session.
6. $FTNT plunged 25% after hours on a gross margin miss, $NOW tumbled 15% and $SFM sank 18%. $CVNA climbed 10% and $CMG gained more than 5%.
7. The 10-year yield rose about 5 basis points to 5.04%, the 30-year hit 5.36%, and the 2-year eased to 4.72%.
8. WTI crude rose 1.3% to $101.49 and Brent gained over 1% on Middle East supply concerns. Gold futures settled 0.6% lower at $4,051.60 and Bitcoin rose about 1% to $81,600.
9. President Trump held off on tariffs for imported robotics and industrial machinery, directing Commerce and USTR to negotiate with trading partners and report back within 180 days. Mexico said trade talks with the US are advancing ahead of the Nov. 3 midterms.
10. The S&P 500 rose 0.28%, the Dow rose 0.19%, and the Nasdaq gained 0.27%.
