Look ahead to next week. Will equal weight lead? - $RSP back above the 50sma. - 41.5% of my universe back above the 50sma - $XLE $XLV $XLP money going into the defensive parts of the S&P 500 - $XLC horrible week and a nasty rollover below the 200sma. $META $GOOGL $VZ $T $NFLX just a giant avoid for now. - $XLI steady trend below the 200sma. $CAT was being called a part of the AI trade, bet they wish that label was never applied to them. $GEV also down 11.5% for the week. Former leader having lost the 200sma. - $XLK flat week roughly but still the worst performer over the last month. Such a large part of the S&P 500 peaking out at nearly 40%. I would not be surprised to see continued unwind from that group. - $XLF nice to see this group sticking around but more importantly the $KRE. Regional banks playing a roll in keeping the $IWM buoyant. - Speaking of the Russell $IWM. We saw short positioning decrease for the prior two weeks. Hence the reason it has been flat this past month which the $QQQ is down 6%. - As for the Nasdaq small and large specs bought the dip. Hard to see how we meaningfully go higher with crowded positioning. - Software, in particular cyber security $HACK $CIBR leads the way for growth. $NTSK $RBRK $TENB $DDOG $NET $PANW $CRWD - This is a market for the patient. Get the idea out of your head that we are going to see new highs out of semis, memory, photonics and neoclouds. That party is over. - The focus should be on where is money going and where is money leaving. - Can we get a bounce in some of those themes? Yes! Should you reasonably expect clean trends to be born out of broken charts? You already know that answer.

$NFLX is testing a trendline that goes all the way back to 2003 👀 The market has previously bounced from the trendline in 2003, 2009, 2012 and 2022. Each time $NFLX eventually moved higher. Now price is back at that MAJOR trendline again. 2 scenarios: 🟢 The trendline holds: A bounce could open the way back towards the previous highs at 133.00 and potentially a new all time high. 🔴 The trendline breaks: A sustained move below it could bring the next support area of 38.00 into focus. The question is will more than 20 years of trendline support hold again? I’m watching how the monthly candle closes and how price reacts around the line. Bounce or break? ⬆️🟢 ⬇️🔴

IS $NFLX a buy here?!

$NFLX is approaching its cheapest valuation in nearly a decade 😳

I have been psychologically short $NFLX for years and believe this year has vindicated that psychological short. Unfortunately I was way too much of a chicken to actually short/buy puts 😂 In all seriousness, my bear case has always been that they cannot keep up content spend to justify their growth without massive hits. The massive hits have faded away which has significantly hurt the type of subscriber/adgrowth needed for the stock to expand from its premium multiple. YouTube’s algorithm was another bear case. How does Netflix compete with a creator economy that is growing rapidly without spending even more money? The move to buy Warner Bros, live sports, podcasting…all of it was to hide that they just don’t have the massive hits needed to keep growing. HOWEVER…at some point, the company becomes too cheap. Valuation is 5 year low and they are buying back a ton of stock. I genuinely don’t see how they get back to massive growth again without a MAJOR hit like Squid Games…all the ads/NFL/videogames/buybacks in the world won’t get the street excited without hits. But I wonder if the margin of safety has finally gotten to the point where their most is being meaningfully discounted (I do think they have a large moat with huge barriers to entry) and if the stock price is officially reflecting that. Are you buying the dip? $NFLX -5%

This is one of the biggest reasons I'm bullish on $NFLX long term. In 2019, Netflix was burning over $3 billion annually in free cash flow. Today, it's generating $11.38 billion over the trailing 12 months. That's a massive transformation. And with advertising, pricing power, and continued global expansion, I think there's plenty of room for this business to keep growing. I'm happy to keep accumulating shares…
