Take the biggest pair of consecutive primes you know and find their square roots. The difference between the roots is less than 1....probably...we don't know yet. It's been checked for some really big primes. This conjecture is due to Dorin Andrica. #openproblems #math

🔍 This week's #ResearchMonday delves into the timely challenge of distinguishing AI-generated text from human-written content. A new survey paper examines the rapid advancements and concerns around Large Language Models, like misinformation and fake news. 📄✍️ It highlights the ongoing battle between developing detection frameworks and strategies to evade them: a real cat and mouse game 🐭😺. Crucially, this paper provides a comprehensive analysis of both possibilities and impossibilities in AI text detection, underscoring the need for robust, foolproof methods. An essential read for navigating the complexities of #AIethics and #DigitalAuthenticity! 🔏

Exciting method to link single-cell profiles across modalities. These guys won the multi-modal integration "match modality" task in our #OpenProblems NeurIPS '21 competition. Cool to see methods developed for the competition now being published! The power of open competitions!

Excited to share our NeurIPS Oral paper( Here, we proposed a semi-supervised neural network named CLUE for cross-modality representation, which preserves both shared and modality-specific information by modality-specific subspaces and cross/self-encoders

Folks, apologies - #rtradvances and #openproblems notes along with other realtimerendering content will be back up soon, we ran into an issue with a large PPTX. Call to action: better PPT compression? Stay tuned for updates.
