Reports from Mogadishu are indicating HSM has been finally confronted by close associates and folks in Halane, the heavily fortified compound inside the Adan Adde airport about the strong possibility of an evolved Al Shabaab recapturing the city once more. Britain, one of the most involved behind the curtain in Somalia affairs has been less secret about its openness of replacing HSM with Mukhtar Robow, a long time asset and one of the founding members of Al Shabaab as well as current minister in HSM cabinet. US has been hesitant about Britain’s arrangement and shifted some of its security operations from Beledogle 60 miles southeast of Mogadishu to nearly 600 miles in Bososo up northwest corner of Somalia. HSM is said to respond to the new developments with astonishment and distress, accusing associates of sabotage. HSM is also said to have acknowledged Turkey’s limitations on security in and around Mogadishu. The Halane consortium led by the US and UK had demanded that HSM steps aside and accepts a transition plan for some sort of consensus to avoid an armageddon scenario of an evolved Al Shabaab recapturing Mogadishu.
