#QueryTrenches

Sometimes, you're never going to be ready. Just gotta hold that breath and take the first plunge in. Good better or worse, I'm officially in the querying trenches! Happy Monday! #5amwritersclub #querying #querytrenches #yafantasy #writerslife #writingcommunity #query

Roughly 120 queries, 87 rejections, and a lot of tears later, I finally have an agent! #writerscommunity #querytrenches

How checking Query Tracker feels sometimes🤣 #amquerying #querytrenches #writerscommunity #writerslife #authorsoftwitter #writers #authors #tradpub

I can't believe I'm actually posting this but... I'm out of the #querytrenches & have entered my ✨vague✨ stage. Excuse me for a bit while I dance around my house & scream like a very little girl for the foreseeable future. Stay tuned for the official announcement 🩷📚 #WritingCommunity #vague

Rejection just means a chance to move on to the next try, right guys? Right... guys? 😅 #writingcommunity #amquerying #querytrenches

Back in the querying game, which means back to insane anxiety and QT stalking. Every email notification is a jump scare. Someone tell me it gets easier (lying is encouraged) 😂 #querytrenches #writingcommunity

I can finally shout it to the world! Thank you to my agent @LindsayGuzzardo and @RAPublishing for this dream come true! I AM GOING TO BE A PUBLISHED AUTHOR! #querytrenches #writerscommunity

Got my first ever publishing offer... The catch? It can be edited and published for a small price of $10k. Oh, how I hate hybrid/vanity presses claiming to be trad. Why do they have to prey on desperate authors who want to tell the stories from their heart? #querytrenches

I’ve gotten TWO follows from Elon Musks in the past 24 hours, and I’m wondering if this is something I can add to my book proposal to prove my social-media savvy??? #author #querytrenches #writingcommunity

My agent and I amicably parted ways. I’m back to the #querytrenches. #writingcommunity pls, update me on upcoming pitch contests. I write spooky, humorous MG (2 are on sub) and speculative YA. My sub books and the latest book I’m querying are in the comments ☺️ #amquerying

I never thought I'd make my dreams come true. But you believed in me, before I believed in myself. 1st book is published in 3 months. 2nd book is in the #querytrenches. And I'm about to start writing my 3rd. I did it, Dad. I hope I made you proud. #writingcommunity #amwriting

If I Say I’m Fine (I’m Lying) is a standalone YA contemporary novel complete at 75,000 words.  It was inspired by my own father’s battle with ALS twenty years ago, with many scenes drawn directly from my own memories and experiences. #amquerying #writingcommunity #querytrenches

Doomscrolling as a querying author is really just refreshing QueryTracker & hoping something changes every five seconds 😂 #querytrenches

Trying so hard to grow my little #writingcommunity and connect with fellow comrades in the #querytrenches Re: #Questpit - if you're interested in swapping RTs and supporting each other I'd love to connect!! I'll be pitching my vengeful romantic high fantasy ✨ #amquerying

HOLY CRAP I just submitted my first agent query ever. #QueryTrenches

My QueryTracker subscription renewed today. I am not taking it as a failure of one more year of not getting an agent. I am taking it as one more opportunity to try. Never give up, writer friends! They don't call it the #querytrenches for nothing!!

Okay I can’t hold it in any longer. I’m officially… ✨VAGUE✨ One more week. Can’t wait for what this next chapter holds and to embark on an amazing partnership! #WritingCommunity #querytrenches

1 day back in the #querytrenches, and here is actual footage of me searching for #literaryagents who accept text-only #PB manuscripts...

If you receive an offer of representation (or accept an offer) please let ALL of the agents who still have your query or manuscript know. I read in my own time and it’s frustrating to spend personal time on something that’s already spoken for. #amquerying #querytrenches

Today was rough. 4 rejections!! I think that's a record for me. Fortunately, I've still got 4 fulls out there and there's lots of other agents to query! ☺️ #amquerying #querytrenches #WritingCommunity
