RIL Media Statement Reliance Industries Limited Chairman and Managing Director Shri Mukesh Ambani and Executive Director Mr Anant Ambani welcomed US Secretary of State Mr Marco Rubio and US Ambassador to India Mr Sergio Gor to Jamnagar, home to the world’s largest refinery. The Honorable visitors were given a tour of the world-class refinery complex, offering a first-hand view of its scale, advanced technology and integrated operations. Secretary Rubio and Ambassador Gor were also explained Reliance’s New Energy giga-factories, which are currently being commissioned in phases, and the data centres under construction. The tour provided an overview of the company’s investments across energy and digital infrastructure, bringing together its well-established advanced manufacturing and deep-tech capabilities. Shri Mukesh Ambani and Shri Anant Ambani outlined Reliance’s long-term vision for the Jamnagar complex and its development as a centre for deep-tech, innovation and advanced manufacturing. The visit included wide-ranging discussions on the global energy landscape and opportunities for commercial partnerships across conventional and new energy. The exchange covered reliable and affordable energy supplies, technological advances, resilient supply chains and the investment required to meet growing demand. Discussions also explored the increasing intersection of energy and digital infrastructure, including the role of dependable power in supporting data centres and the expansion of the digital economy. Shri Mukesh Ambani and Shri Anant Ambani shared their perspectives on opportunities for collaboration with US companies, drawing on complementary strengths in technology, engineering and advanced manufacturing. The interaction provided a constructive opportunity to exchange industry perspectives and explore areas of mutual commercial interest. Ripple and Robinhood. Robinhood and Ripple. Two disruptors. One spent years dismantling the barriers between everyday investors and Wall Street. The other spent years building infrastructure to move money between financial institutions. Now they're connecting. And I think people are dramatically underestimating what was announced this morning. Pull up a stool. Sit down with me for a minute. Because this isn't just another stablecoin partnership. Not even close. Let me whisper something in your ear: Robinhood isn't simply adding Ripple's products. It's integrating Ripple into the machinery that runs its financial business. Read that again. October 27, 2026: Ripple and Robinhood just announced a partnership spanning THREE distinct layers of financial infrastructure. The details matter - FIRST: THE MONEY $RLUSD Ripple's regulated dollar stablecoin is already live on Robinhood Chain and Bitstamp by Robinhood. Expected to arrive in the Robinhood app Q4. But here's the line that caught my attention: Robinhood will leverage $RLUSD on the XRPL for institutional settlement. Actual institutional settlement infrastructure. Moving dollar-denominated value between financial counter-parties. Entirely different conversation. SECOND: THE COLLATERAL AND FINANCING Ripple Prime. Remember Hidden Road? Prime brokerage sits inside the machinery of institutional finance: Financing. Margin. Liquidity. Market access. Counterparty relationships. Now we learn Ripple Prime is already providing Bitstamp by Robinhood with lending and margin financing across approximately 20 digital assets. 20 Digital Assets. Meanwhile: RP clients can trade spot on Bitstamp Perpetual futures support is expected later this year. Think about that... One relationship that connects: financing, liquidity, execution and institutional market access. That's not a marketing partnership. That's operational integration. Like Cross River Bank. THIRD: THE TREASURY And this might be the most overlooked piece of the entire announcement: Robinhood is integrating Ripple Treasury into its own financial operations. We're talking: • Global cash and liquidity management • Cash flow forecasting • Payments • Risk management • Inter-company netting STOP. This isn't about what Robinhood offers customers. This is about how Robinhood manages its OWN money. Its internal financial plumbing. The infrastructure behind the infrastructure. And THAT is where this story starts getting particularly interesting. Because the three layers are connected. Treasury manages liquidity. RP/PB provides financing and market access. $RLUSD provides a dollar-denominated settlement instrument. And XRPL is explicitly identified as an institutional settlement rail. This doesn't mean every Robinhood transaction suddenly touches XRPL. It doesn't mean $XRP is required for every $RLUSD settlement. The announcement doesn't establish either. Stablecoins globally: More than $300 BILLION Robinhood: 28.6 MILLION funded customers Ripple Prime: Financing across approximately 20 digital assets for Bitstamp Ripple Treasury: Integration into Robinhood's internal financial operations. And XRPL: Specifically named for institutional $RLUSD settlement (THE BIG MONEY) Five different facts. One increasingly connected architecture. Let's step back to look BIG-PICTURE: Robinhood disrupted access to financial markets. Ripple has spent years trying to modernize how value moves through those markets. One built the customer-facing distribution. The other assembled settlement, liquidity, brokerage and treasury capabilities. What happens when distribution meets financial infrastructure? You begin connecting the customer experience to the machinery that actually moves and manages the money. Significant? Absolutely. Promise of instant adoption? No. Proof of an XRP price explosion? Nope. Evidence that every dollar flowing through Robinhood will require XRP? No. Unmistakable expansion in the commercial footprint of Ripple's infrastructure? Yes. And there's one final detail I want you to think about. Ripple's Monica Long described the partnership as supporting both customer-facing offerings AND core financial operations. "CORE. FINANCIAL. OPERATIONS." The real transformation of financial markets won't necessarily arrive with a giant announcement that the old system has been replaced. It'll arrive through thousands of integrations that quietly change how the existing system operates. One treasury desk. One prime brokerage relationship. One settlement rail. One institution at a time. And here's where I smile... The two companies that built their reputations challenging established financial structures are now working together to build and operate parts of the next generation of those structures. Robinhood and Ripple. Ripple and Robinhood. The disruptors are becoming infrastructure. And the infrastructure is moving under the hood. Funny how that works.
