#RISCOSMerlin

One of my favorite features in #RISCOSMerlin, the kernel recovers from when legacy modules fail to initialise. Proper protected calls implementation that give Merlin an impressive level of robusteness even during the delicate phase of system startup.

A test of #RISCOSMerlin exploring the PCIe bus in full on AArch64 (works on AArch32, x86 and x86_64 too) and the part I love the most is the fact that Merlin Kernel and HAL can do safe tear down of all direct and indirect allocated resources when healing from faulty driver, yup!

getting #RISCOSMerlin to be able to boot on #UEFI is being a lot of fun and a great opportunity to learn in more details UEFI on AArch64 vs my old knowledge of UEFI on Intel/AMD. The fun part if always the learning. #Rust #Kernel #SystemsDevelopment

Another teaser for OS enthusiasts: #RISCOSMerlin already delivers impressive SMP performance, supports per-core arena allocation to enable massive multi-core systems with up to 256 cores, and offers a truly multi-core graphics subsystem too. #kernel #kernelDevelopment #rust
