1/2 Now that #sqlserver2022 is in public preview, I have updated #SQLCallStackResolver to recognize the new XML frames format used for call stack frames. For background info, refer to Bob Dorr's post at #sqlserver

#sqlhelp any thoughts on why a stats update would lead to large amounts of pagelatch contention (in the user DB the update is running on) on random data pages (seems to always be at the leaf level)?

@m82labs If you gather bucketized callstacks using a XE like shown in and then resolve to a proper symbolized form using #SQLCallStackResolver, it should be possible to have a more precise hypothesis.

Public PDB info for the newly released #SQLServer 2019 CU7 has been updated in #SQLCallStackResolver. This being the first CU released after #SQLCallStackResolver 2.x, users should automatically be notified of the new symbol info. Click Yes & it will update its local symbol info!
